Just A Nightmare (Spyro/Cynder)

It will no longer be a oneshot but a series XD
I have been trying to think of another Spyro/Cynder story for a while but had no ideas but I had gotten a few ideas for this story. So I've decided to make a next chapter XD

The sun shone high up in the sky over the valley. Critters and creatures alike woke to its dazzling beauty. There were hardly any clouds above, which gave a promise to the creatures below that there would be no rain today.

Light flickered through the caves entrance where Spyro and Cynder slept soundly. As the light shone directly in Spyro's face, his eyes woke up to the blinding light. He groaned, and rubbed his eyes with his front paws, ridding the sleep from his eyes. He relaxed as the sun didn't seem to hurt his eyes no more. He stood up and stretched, then turned around to see Cynder still asleep.

Spyro sighed. She had a rough night again. For a while she kept getting nightmares. His heart ached for her. If only they could swap places so that she wouldn't have to go through it all. It must have been so hard for her.
Spyro knows that she would never do something like that again. It wasn't even her who had done it! She was being used like a puppet and made to do all that awful stuff. She had finally broken free of Malefor's power when she and Spyro fought. He had saved her from the evil grips of the dark master.

Cynder had still not woken up, and Spyro had no plans of waking her up just yet. He turned around and crept out of the cave quietly, leaving her to sleep.

The sun shone on his Purple scales as he emerged out of his cave and into the sun's dazzling gleam. Spyro looked around him, taking in his surroundings. It was all perfect.
In front of him, Lush green forests stretched out before him on the other side of the lake. The lake stretched forward into a river which came from his right side. Further along the river you can find a waterfall.

Spyro breathed in then out. Fresh air. Everything is so peaceful here. everywhere is peaceful. After him and Cynder defeated Malefor everything had gone back to normal. We all lived in peace again.

Except her...

"Spyro?"
Spyro spun round as he heard his name. Standing at the caves entrance was Cynder. Her emerald eyes were full of sleep. She didn't sleep well last night. She doesn't sleep well many nights.

Spyro walked towards her. She took a step forward as he did. He crossed the distance between them and nuzzled her, "Morning."
"Morning." She nuzzled him back.
"How did you sleep last night? You know, after you..." His words trailed off. He didn't want to mention the nightmare. She didn't really like talking about it.

"Alright." She replied, obviously not wanting to talk about it. She hated showing weakness. She saw her nightmares as weakness.

Spyro looked at her in sympathy. She had been getting nightmares for so long. When would it stop? Would it ever stop?

Cynder closed her eyes, breathed in then out, then she opened them again. The tiredness in her eyes had disappeared and were full of energy. How does she do that? She gave him a flick of her tail on the head gently with a playful smile and then walked past him brushing her wings against his own.

Spyro turned around and watched her. She unfolded her wings, gave a small run and then leaped graciously into the air. She started to flap her wings and took flight.
Spyro smiled, then ran after her. Unfolding his wings and giving chase after her, he also leaped into the air and took flight after her.

He didn't know where they were going. They went wherever. At Least it would make Cynder happy. That's all he cared about. That's all he wants. To see her smile.

So. Chapter 2 is done XD I hope u enjoyed this XD I'm sorry this is short. Hopefully it will be longer next time XD I'll try to get chapter 3 out sometime during the week hopefully. I have school so it could take some time. Maybe on Monday I'll have chapter 3 done, if not, it will come some time during the week XD
