I woke up - once again - to the feeling of nausea. I had been sick for a week now, but I had no temperature whatsoever.

"Emily... Can we talk?" Jace asked me as I released my grip on the toilet.

"Yeah, sure. What's up?" I asked after I had rinsed out my mouth and was heading to get some food.

"Emily, I think you're pregnant."

Three minutes sure did last a long time when it meant a life changing defeat in the end, possibly. I didn't believe what was happening. It wasn't fair. It was just one night. One night, people!

My iPhone beeped, signaling that the three minutes was up. I slowly opened my blue eyes to reveal the truth.

Positive.

It was positive. My heart began to race as I started thinking of all the bad things that could happen. What would my mother say? And my siblings, Trojan and Gretchen? What about all of my friends, or my quality school reputation?

One little baby was throwing my life under the bus.

"Emily, are you okay in there? It's been five minutes!" Jace called, banging on the door. I had been smart enough to lock it so she couldn't get it, although I really needed her right now. I jumped to my feet on jelly legs and rushed to open the door.

"Jace... I'm pregnant." I stated. For a moment she just looked at me. Then, she pulled me into a huge hug.

"Emily, I'll always be here for you no matter what. I love you like a sister, babe. Now who's up for a lazy day?" She cheered.
