Started from the Bottom - 7
Jordan was confused. Confused as to why Kai had suddenly started hating him. When he'd call, she'd deliberately ignore him, she wouldn't answer his texts, and whenever he showed himself at her apartment; she would pretend she wasn't home. He really wanted to know what he had done to make Kai upset and avoid him like this. He didn't like not being able to hear her sultry voice or see her gorgeous face every day. It's been weeks. It was killing him.
He sent her flowers and chocolates constantly, and he knows she she's them because they're always gone when he comes by to see her. "Someone could just be stealing them," Jordan thought to himself, but he refused to believe that. He settled on going to go see her during his lunch break as a surprise since he always showed after he got off. She wouldn't expect it at all.
So as soon as 12 o'clock hit, Jordan was racing down the street in his car. He arrived at Kai's apartment building 10 minutes later and skipped up the steps to her apartment. He knew the lock on her door was broken, so instead of knocking, he took it upon himself to just walk in.
Kai was hurt. She couldn't believe Jordan would do something like that to her. The fact that he was Jordan during the day and "George the customer" during the night just to get some from her was appalling. She's never liked being used. Even though she's a prostitute, she still hated that men, some married, would come out and use her body as their source of relief. It was gross.
She had really thought that Jordan cared for her and had feelings for her like she for him. But turns out he was just after what every other man in this world is after. Why did he have to choose her? Why couldn't pick up the next hoe on the corner? She knew for a fact that Ruby was at the corner before hers when "George" first picked her up. Why was she always the one treated badly?
She had been crying ever since she got home. She cried on the way there, in the shower, to sleep, and she was crying again. She was positive that Jordan knew of the feelings Kai had for him, so why would he continue to use her like that? Did she have a sign on her forehead that said worthless? Easy? She just didn't understand. She should've trusted her gut and made him remove his shades the first night they had sex. She knew he looked familiar. And that red mustang! Why didn't she piece it together? But the house he brought her to, it wasn't the same as the one he brings her to at night. "He actually bought another house to keep up his fake identity?" Kai thought to herself. "Pathetic."
Kai jumped at the sound of a voice coming from her front room. "Kai!" She knew that voice anywhere. She shot up off her mattress and charged into her living room. "Get the hell out Jordan!" She shouted at him. Jordan's eyes lit up at the sight of Kai. She looked as beautiful and sexy as ever, especially since she was mad. He advanced towards her and Kai immediately started hitting him on his chest. Jordan grasped both her wrists in his right hand and stroked her face with his left. Kai flinched away from his hand.
"Baby what did I do?" Jordan questioned softly as he pulled her closer. "Don't call me that," Kai snarled as she glared at him. "Kai please tell me so I can fix it. I miss not being able to see or talk to you." Jordan gazed into her eyes and became completely infatuated. He placed a kiss on her forehead, then her nose, the corner of her mouth, and finally her lips. Kai instantly melted in his hands.
Jordan kissed down to her neck then picked Kai up. She wrapped her legs around his waist and he brought her over to her torn up couch. He laid her down and crawled on top of her. "You know you don't have to be here?" Jordan whispered into her neck. Kai moaned at the feel of his warm breath against her skin. "W. . . What do you mean?" She mumbled breathlessly. "I mean. You. Can stay. With. Me." Jordan stated between kisses.
Kai stopped moving. She came back to her senses and was mad all over again. She pushed Jordan off her and glared at him. "I would NEVER want to live with a lying, low-down bastard like you!" Kai exclaimed as she pointed at him. Jordan wasn't even angry that she was calling him names. He could never be angry at her. "Kai, what did I do?" He asked, desperately wanting to know the answer. Kai scoffed crossed her arms across her chest. "Like you don't know, George! Why would you be yourself during the day and act as George at night just to fuck me?! Huh?! You know I have feelings for you, you didn't have to lie!" She snapped.
"Geor-"Jordan knew exactly who she was talking about. Now he was angry. When they were little, Geoffrey had always said he was going to change his name to George when he got older, but he never did. Jordan's face turned into a scowl as he grabbed Kai's hand and dragged her to his red mustang. He and Geoffrey had matching ones. "Get the hell off me!" Kai struggled, but Jordan had a tough grip on her. He gently pushed her into the passenger's seat and ran to his side of the car. He got in and sped off to Geoffrey's house. Jordan was more upset that Geoffrey had touched and had his way with Kai like he wanted to. Geoffrey knew that Jordan was in love with Kai, so she was off limits to him and everyone else. Geoffrey knew that.
Jordan pulled up behind Geoffrey's mustang. Kai was confused. "How the-"Before she could even ask, Jordan was running up to the door. Kai's eyes widened as she realized who George actually was. She quickly exited the car and ran in the house to see Jordan and Geoffrey going at it.
Jordan had never been so angry in his entire life. His anger was giving him the upper hand. Jordan punched Geoffrey right in his stomach, causing Geoffrey to double over in pain. Just as Jordan was about to kick him down, Kai stepped in between them. Jordan's whole attitude quickly shifted. His eyes softened and he was no longer angry. Well, not as angry as he was when he got here.
Kai walked up to Jordan and wrapped her arms around his torso and stood on her toes and kissed his lips. Jordan wasn't the least bit upset that Kai had thought he was actually "George." He and Geoffrey were identical twins; it was hard to distinguish the two. "I'm sorry Jo-" Jordan shook his head. "It's fine baby."
Kai turned around to Geoffrey who had a smug look on his face. Kai walked up to him and backhanded him as hard as she could. You could hear the echo of the slap throughout the house. She went back into Jordan's arms. "Why would you do that to me? What have I ever done to you?" Geoffrey held his face as he stared at her. "I was using you to get back at Jordan," he spoke nonchalantly. Jordan raised an eyebrow. "Get back at me?"
"Yes!" Geoffrey exclaimed. "What are you getting back at me for?" Jordan questioned as he tightened his grip on Kai's waist. "For stealing all the women I've ever liked!" Jordan laughed loudly. "What are you talking about, I've never stolen any women from you?"
"Lisa 2nd grade, Trina 4th grade, Cindy 5th grade, Cassandra 7th grade, Nya 9th grade, Aaliyah 10th grade, Serena, Sophie, and Francine 11th grade, Asia 12th grade, the blonde girl at the bar at the New Year's part last year, and the brunette twin with the big boobs 5 months ago!" Geoffrey yelled as he recited all the girls Jordan "stole" from him.
"Seriously Geoffrey? You decided to pretend to be and have sex with Kai because of some girls you never liked for more than a week? You're seriously fucked up in the head bro," Jordan snarled as he gripped Kai's hand and walked out. Both Jordan and Kai ignored Geoffrey's callings after them as they got in his car and drove back to Kai's place.
Kai felt bad for accusing Jordan of Geoffrey's wrong doings. She knew that Jordan would never do something like that to her. As they entered her apartment, Kai immediately closed her door and kissed Jordan hungrily. Jordan stumbled and fell on her couch, but he kissed her back with as much force. "I'm . . . sorry," Kai spoke. Jordan didn't even think she had to apologize. He wasn't even worried about Geoffrey anymore.
They both released their sexual frustration for each other.
