Chapter 10 Their Last Shot

CHARA POV

By the time I arrived home I knew it was too late for Frisk or was it? I didn't know but I tried everything I knew and it didn't work. But I could change this. I need to talk to Sans about this then maybe I'll do it. "Kiddo? What's wrong?". I tell them what happened to Frisk still with tears in my eyes, but then I explain the plan I have. "Kiddo... Ya know I don't like this plan but it is our best shot so go ahead". I stay in the room with him and the words hover in front of me...

I hit the button, as much as I don't want to I know that it's my only chance. But I realize that it's two chances, the chance to stop Azzy from dying, and the chance to stop Frisk from dying, and with the knowledge I hold now I can give all the other kids that feel down a monster soul so they can live without fighting, but I can ask six of them to leave me a piece of their soul before they leave and then finally I can I rejog Frisk's memory with a machine. But when the world finally fades to black something goes wrong... I see almost a mirror image of myself pop up in front of me and they say "Heh did you really think you could just get RID of me, cmon I know you LOVE me. I'm the evil part of you :) and to reset you're gonna have to defeat me heh... Cmon I wanna feel the rush of all the EXP you have :)". I prepare to fight her. Our swords clang until I'm tired and they aren't... But I do a move that they wouldn't expect in fact I didn't expect to do it my body just moved on it's own. The stab in her stomach throws her off guard until I slash her in the head. It's over and I'm back in the underground. I decide to tell Azzy about it once we get home. But for now I hear him say "Hey! My names Asriel... What's yours?". I tell him that my name is Chara and ask where I am. He says "Oh, silly me I forgot you were human! You're in the underground!" When he bring me home I decide to ask if they have any scientists. He says that they have one and an assistant I thank him and try to leave as soon as possible seeing him again in the same home almost makes me tear up. As soon as I get there I see Gaster and he knows that I reset just as Sans probably does. I wonder if both of those know Frisk should know which would make my job easier. I tell him to help work on the machine which he doesn't know much but he remembers I reset so I explain to him the process and help him... Now to wait for the humans to fall down.
