Sasuke

Following morning

"Hmph," I mumble through dry lips as I stir awake. An odd sensation bothers the tip of my nose as I bring my hand up to scratch it away. Strands of pink wrap around my fingers like satin ribbons as I analyze the soft color. My room had never felt so dark before.

Calm huffs of air fall from Sakura's lips as she remains asleep beside me. She had barely moved all night, her small body curled into a ball at the center of my back. Her hands have softened their grip on me, now limply laying on my chest. While she had remained in place, I hadn't. My legs found their way around her's. As did my arms. I can't move if not to risk her waking up and seeing me hold her so close.

"Hmm," she mutters. Panic fills every nerve in my being as I think on what to do. I look around myself for something. Anything to use. Nothing at all. Her eyes flutter open dazedly as she trains her sight on my face, only inches away from her own. I can see my startled expression in her jade eyes. A complete mess. "Sasuke?" her voice is quite. Hushed. She hasn't ever said my name so sweetly. My face warms slightly at her dopey expression.

"Your hair," I mention oddly. She knits her brows confusedly. "I-It's everywhere for fucks sake. Pick it up or move it off me." The quiet girl looks around herself trying to understand me. "Now," I demand. Sakura sits on her legs as she stretches her arms above her head. Rubbing her tired eyes.

"It's long isn't it?" she suddenly asks. I found myself at a loss for words. My mouth hanging open stupidly.

"C-come again?"

"My hair," she combs her fingers through her hair that pools down onto the bed. I grab a pillow and hold it between my thighs uncomfortably. I had thought..."it's too long isn't it?"

"Why ask for my opinion?"I look away from her. Biting down on the inside of my cheek. She hadn't responded and we remained quiet for a minute as I refused to look at her. An uncomfortable sensation dances through my right ear and I try to rub it away annoyedly. It persists. Now entirely irritated, I snarl as I shake my head impatiently. There she is. Her face hovering over my ear. She had been using the ends of her hair to tickle me. A sly grin on her lips as my face heats up immeasurably.

"Because you said it bothers you,"

"Get off," I mumble incoherently. She's beautiful.

"What?" she asks. "I don't understand."

I force my eyes shut as my hands, that hadn't stopped fisting the pillow between my thighs, sling the plush object in direction of Sakura forcing her away from me and onto her back. Her legs limply laying wide open. She had been entirely surprised by my sudden attack and tried to gather herself. My eyes widen in disbelief before looking away, my hand over my stern mouth.

"Why would you do that?" Sakura's voice is breathless.

"Just go," my throat dries. "get out already."

She had been wearing red underwear. Bright red.

Sakura sits up straight holding the pillow to her chest. Letting her head rest sleepily on the soft material. She's worn.

"Did you sleep well?" I ask oddly.

"I hadn't slept so peacefully for the first time in a long time," she mentions through saddened eyes. "at first I had been afraid. Sharing a room with you and because you can be so... scary. But I felt safe here. Maybe we should switch rooms?" She asks innocently. I scoff playfully.

"Even when I hit you with pillows and leave you stranded in street corners, you still think the big bad lives outside of this room? The big bad sleeps in this very bed. This room reeks of perilous evil." Sakura shakes her head as a grin tugs at the corner of her lips.
