Second Chances

Chapter 2: Introductions

Seokjin and Hoseok came back as soon as the hospital visiting hours opened up the next day. The nurse, Hyerin, cursed them out in her head. It was too early to be working.

"Thank you." Seokjin bowed politely and made his way up towards Jisoo's room with Hoseok.

It being 7am, Jisoo was still respectively asleep so Jin and Hoseok decided to get some breakfast before she woke up.

Jisoo finally woke up around noon to a clashing sound. "Hoseok, I told you to be careful!"

"Sorry hyung!"

Jisoo turned towards the two boys cleaning up food from the ground. "Why do I feel like that happened a lot before?" She mumbled.

Jin and Hoseok turned their heads towards her, surprised. "Ah, sorry we woke you. Hoseok is just a klutz." They finished cleaning up the mess and washed their hands before settling down next to Jisoo.

"We brought some things you liked before, you know." Jin awkwardly presented Jisoo.

Hoseok stayed quiet the majority of the time, which was very unlike him. He felt guilty. It was basically his fault that Jisoo was in the hospital with amnesia.

Jin noticed and nudge him in the side while they were watching Descendants of the Sun. Hoseok jumped slightly, but not enough for Jisoo to notice. "What's up?" Jin asked. Hoseok only shrugged and turned back to the drama.

"Um, did I really like this?" Jisoo asked quietly.

"It was your favourite show. You wouldn't stop talking about how hot Song Joongki was." Jin laughed slightly. He still has the texts from Jisoo about how upset she was with Moyeong and Shijin's relationship because she wanted to date Shijin if she wasn't already dating Hoseok.

Jisoo shifted awkwardly in her bed while Hoseok just scoffed that his girlfriend used to think Joongki was hot. He wasn't that hot.

"Are you bored of the show? We can play some games or watch something else if you want." Jin suggested. 

"Um can you tell me more about myself?" Jisoo asked. "It's really frustrating that you know me, but I don't know myself."

"Of course." Jin smiled sweetly. He turned down the volume so they could talk without disturbance, but not in complete silence.

Jin talked about how Jisoo used to love to sing and how they'd sing together in the car. He told her she liked watching people dance and how she wished she knew how to dance. Her school work, what she wanted to be when she was an adult, what college she wanted to go to.

They talked for an hour before Jisoo brought it up. "Was I dating anyone?" She didn't know what she would do if she was. Of course they'd still be dating, but if her memory was gone, what would happen? She suddenly felt bad with out even knowing the answer.

Jin and Hoseok looked at each other then back at Jisoo. How would they answer that? Technically, yes, she was dating Hoseok, but from what Jin heard, they broke up just before Jisoo got in the accident.

Hoseok opened his mouth, about to say that she was dating someone, but Jin cut him off. 

"No, you weren't." Jin smiled softly. Jisoo narrowed her eyes slightly at the two of them, flitting back and forth between the awkward shift among the three of them. Hoseok looked uncomfortable and unsure of the answer while Jin looked uncharacteristically calm. Jisoo was hesitant, but decided that they probably wouldn't lie to an amnesic patient and brushed off the uneasy atmosphere.
