Vigilant Vanquish: Apocalypse Awakening

Fable Frontiers

Known to such a legend that six gems that lay the foundation of the world, Tom and the defenders have seen the sight of extraordinary power displayed by the rise of falling Robin Clark. 

"Well, look at the chances of that. The Earth Gem chose someone falling to the earth.." George remarked happily, "I would have thought he got the gem of lightning, since lightning brought him down.."

The twirling tornado's rampage halted, a sculpture of an organic tree stood in the place, the Earth gem with the command of Robin had crafted an artwork with the scraps of the corrupted world. Soggy grass was refined into a lush carpet, weaving around the vault. Ripe trees blossomed replacing the repulsive skeleton structures standing before. 

Robin meandered himself a path towards the defenders, and uttered, "This power... It's unbelievable! It's like second nature - it saved me..."

Lewis patted his back, "You were chosen, my friend." 

Sauntering to the home of the jewels, Tom guided everyone to stand wilfully into the circle and soon a confetti of colours dissolved into the eyes of everyone... And then stopped. Attempting again, the same thing occurred - a short light show.

Soon it hit Tomas on the head... "There's only five of us... Me, Emily, the two Clark's and Lewis. And there's six gems..." Everyone's head fell to the floor, how could they miss it out? "Wait, Emily, weren't you telling us something about another person before that lightning-"

"Yes! Yes! There was this man, I'm sure of it. He was trained, that's for sure. Let's say there were around ten of those killing machines, I only heard four bullets bangin', and they were all dead." Parker stated in a joyous fashion.

"It was me." a familiar voice echoed the chamber, everyone quickly stared into the thick fog ultimately created by him. A black drawing stood in the middle. Fading away, the smoke revealed a shocking twist. It was Rob Murphy!

"Dramatic, much?" Lewis connoted in envy... 

"My gosh. Where have you been? We were in a state of dependence..." Tom thankfully said while approaching him.

"I've been behind your backs, sounds bad I know, but I did it to prevent an ambush. Remember that recent ambush you guys encountered? I was about to handle it, but the skills of Parker really showed up." he makes eye contact with Parker's glimmering eyes, which rolled up in satisfaction, "Well done, Emily Parker." followed by a cheeky wink.

"Shall we get moving then, folks? The world isn't going to save itself, eh?" Lewis observed, still in the bitterness of his own jealousy. 

All approached the circle, and the glistening colours dazzled into their perception as if fireworks zoomed into them; enveloped in a white condensation of purity, a voice began to speak.

"I congratulate you, you have made it to stage three, the assembling of six worthy figures to defend this world. The gems have been awoken from their deep slumber, and it's now your quest to earn their respect and friendship."

"Carry on your mission to protect this world, they will be by your side, and when the heart beats the most loyally, they shall become of yours."

The plain flash disappeared. "What now?" George enquired, "What's our mission now?"

"I don't know." Tom replied. 

Robin replied wisely, "I know. These gems, they know what when we are at our most beating, our most loyalty, I got it from the Earth Gem. You said, the lightning brought me down but the earth caught me, isn't there a chance that they're talking to each other?"

"What nonsense!" Lewis exclaimed.

"Wait, let him speak, he might be on to something." Murphy muttered. 

"Unity. Without unity, nothing would exist, we would all want to kill each other and gain the most power. These gems may have unity, they work together to supply the Earth..."

"Carry on..." Tom eagerly stated.

"Well, the Lightning Gem brought me down for a reason, and I was given the Earth Gem. That voice, it said that we have a quest to earn their friendship and respect. Friends help each other, and that's the purpose of me getting the Earth Gem."

"We have to protect the world, so how do we do it? That's the question, and I think my Earth Gem is answering that.", he puts his hand to his heart, and a hazel glow flowed out in the form of a Earth path.

"Oh my gosh.. You're right! The Earth Gem was given for a reason, it's going to lead us on an adventure to what is causing this corruption..." Lewis remarked...

"It's not just the quest to protect the world. It's a quest to earn the Gem's respect remember? We're on a mission to protect the world and earn the Gem's. And in order to protect the world, we need to earn the Gem's. Our mission now is to unlock the power of gems, one by one. This is our new frontier." Tom declared boldly and confidently.

With the heart of the Earth Gem and Robin together, and the hopes of everyone laying in the hands of the new defenders, they now had to achieve the stone's of power by following the path shown to them by the master of Earth.

"So, what are we waiting for? This is our fable frontier!" 

They trialled towards their path, and with the luminosity of the moon brightening up their path, it seems that they may finally have a chance...
