Chapter 5: Little Background

Lillia: "It suprises me that you have so much knowledge about how to do wishes jobs."

Leon: "...I need to tell you something important, that cannot wait."

Leon and Lillia were working on jobs. Lillia who had finished her 1000 jobs request ages ago had 5000 more to complete. Oh, and look, 500 more just came in.

Leon: "We are never going to get these done at this rate."

Lillia: "Oh, we can take a break if you wish. It's a simple one, easy to grant. You can tell me what you are so desperate to tell me."

Leon steels his nerves and looks at Lillia in the eye.

Leon: "Me and my...friends are from the future. You are a human, there, my woman."

Lillia was taken aback from Leon's news. Then she just sighs and shakes her head.

Lillia: "No human can see the future. I have wished to become human, once, but helping this world with this possission is better."

Leon didn't know what to say next. Personally, he wanted to tell Lillia everything. He didn't like this Lillia's smile. It was too much...like his. There was a hint of the King in her that Leon couldn't figure out why. Lillia had returned to wish granting and punishment work. Leon watched and handed her scroll after scroll.

Karno: "Ah...I'm hungry..."

Dui: "I have never felt this hungry before..."

Scorpio: "Hey...where's the others...?"

Zyglavis: "Me and Huedhaut are here...where's that arrogant lion?"

They sit down, on the floor, inside the circular room, on top of the huge gemstone. Karno stares at his reflection at  the ground. Finally Leon comes out of the Stario door looking more pale, tired and hungry than the rest.

Karno: "Leon?! Are you okay?! You look so pale!"

Dui: "W-what happened in there?!"

Dui had instinctively snapped his fingers, along with Karno, and Huedhaut. Nothing happens, and they all fall silent. Leon collops on the floor panting and sweating.

Zyglavis: "Your partner must of had a lot of work if you're this exhausted."

Huedhaut: "Who was your partner? Huenatta had told me some information about the Stario members."

Leon: "Hah...hah...it was Lillia...she's in there..."

(all): "Lillia Colette?!"

Scorpio: "Your woman is a Stario member?"

Huedhaut: "I see...she's the one with the most jobs, isn't she?"

Leon: "I wouldn't be surprised if she had 100 more coming in right now. She works like it's a walk in the garden."

Lucifer: "Hey, you guys hungry? I heard from Ichnya that humans need food for energy."

A smiling Lucifer, completely devoid of the glowing red-eye, scowling Lucifer, comes into the room with different kinds of cherry foods on a tray. Her eyes were chocolate brown but reminded Leon of Lillia and Dui put together.

Dui: "Oh, hello Lucifer, thank you for the food."

Lucifer: "I'm sorry if you don't like cherries...I was told to make you guys something. If you want something else, tell me..."

Karno: "No, this will do, thank you."

Everyone thought it would be best if they didn't tell Lucifer that she was in her shadow mode. Thinking if she's anything like Dui, she'd be horrified and distance herself from everyone.
