The disco balls turns the small dancing area into a colorful area for teens to dance and drink until they lose all feeling. I usually never drink, but today I can't think of a reason not to have fun with my best friend. Sometimes alcohol seems to be the only thing that can make you forget, at least for a little while. I feel like the dress I'm wearing is barely covering up my butt, but Ash (that's how I call her) says I look super hot. Does is matter though? The only boy I want is calling me his freaking best friend. I pull Ash t the bar to get my fourth shot of Cherry Vodka and I can finally relax. Usually they would never sell a 16-year old Vodka in a bar, but here we're being served by teens anyway. After 20 minutes of awkward dancing to the POP hits of 2013, Luke enters the stage and I can ejoy his perfect apperance dipped in the spotlight. Due to my drunkness I don't even care that he is a jerk, I just want to staree at him without being judged.
"Are you drooling, Liyah?", Ash teases me.
"...Wait, what? Oh no, I'm just drunk that all.", I lie.
She breaks into laughter and puts her arms around my neck.
"It's alright, I know he is a real treat.:", she points at Luke.
I don't respond to her comment, but I can feel a slight jealousy in my stomach. What is wrong with me? He doesn't even care about my existence, and I already feel jealous about my friend making a nice comment about the way he looks? I am freaking crazy.
Luke's POV
"Hey guys, thanks for coming tonight. We are 5SOS and this is our first gig. I hope you like our stuff, it's all written by us. Can I welcome Michael with his guitar, Calum with the bass and Ashton to the drums?", I say slightly nervous.
The club is more crowded than I imagined, but I really want to ace my first performance. Spotlights from the disco bowls go around the club. It falls on two really hot chicks in the middle of the crowd. I especially like the girl in the black dress, but then I realize... Fuck, it's Liyah. She even looks prettier with her hair tied lose in the back and the dress that huggs her body in the right places. What am I doing? I can't care less about her and I should focus on the music now, but throughout the entire performance the only thing that can calm me down is looking at her every couple seconds and watching her moving to my music. I smirk at the sight of her face, looking like she doesn't know what to do. No, no. Enough of that, I'm going to focus on the music.
Liyah's POV
The combination of the 6th shot of Vodka and the music puts me into a trance where I don't even care about anything anymore. When the band annouces their last song I don't even realize how sweaty I am from the dancing with Ash. Next to her I look like a freaking beginner, but I don't care anymore. Luke's voice and the applause breaks my mind block. The concert just ended and I didn't even notice him talking. Wow, I am wasted. Ash takes me by the hand, because I promised her earlier to introduce her to the band and she doesn't forget at any stage of drunkness. We walk to the backstage area, but Luke is leaving the group to go outside. Before I can even notice what my feet are doing, I follow him outside into the cold fall weather.
