“HEY HOMELESS GIRL! DIDN’T I TELL YOU TO ANSWER MY CALLS RIGHT AWAY!?”

I think it’s around 3 in the morning when I answered his 4th call. I was half-asleep, and couldn’t quite hear the caller’s voice.

“Hello? Can we talk later?...” I subconsciously replied, “…I’m busy planning for my wedding.”

“WHAT!? BITCH, ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?!”

“HEY! DON’T CALL ME BITCH, YOU FAGGOT!”

“WHAT! Seriously, when I see you again,” I’m starting to think this isn’t a part of my dream anymore, “YOU’RE DEAD.”

My eyes widened the moment he hung up. I leveled down my phone to check who the caller was…

Noooo!

To my surprise, I threw it away from me, and hit the wall so hard that its battery came out.

That… That wasn’t a dream?

Those words made me realize why my phone is off even though it was fully charged last night. His last words echoed repeatedly in my head to the point that all I can do to stop it is to scream.
The bus driver, to his surprise, made a quick step on the brakes. Everyone inside the bus drawn forcefully forward. Luckily, the bus didn’t hit any posts (Thank God), nor any other vehicles.

“I’m so sorry!” I said, terrified from the look on their faces, including the bus driver. “… uhm, I thought my phone got stolen.”

I felt their eyes full of anger. Almost as if stares like that are made of knives, and daggers, I’d be rotten dead by now. I bit my lip, and had a good look at the driver. I gave him my most apologetic expression so that he can start the engine again, and hopes that he won’t drag me out.

He raised his hands, gave me a warning signal then drove the bus away from the sidewalk just after three girls from my school’s rival – Kenzington University – entered.

Kenzington students are very easy to spot since their uniform design is the opposite of my school’s. VanAllen has white long sleeves embedded by a navy blue sleeveless buttoned shirt, a red bow tie, and a checkered combination of navy blue and red skirt. Kenzington has white sleeveless shirt embedded by a black blazer...A dark green bow tie, and a dark green skirt. Students of both schools wear black knee high socks.

They sat behind me.

“So girls, I’m about to tell you the best gossip of the year.” One of them spoke rather loudly.

“If it’s about the new color of your braces, we already saw them just after you got out of your house. Ugh. Still can’t believe we’re riding a stinky bus.”

People nowadays are extremely rude.
Are they always been like this?

“No. But I’m so glad you girls noticed. My mom also bought me new designer—Ah! Let’s talk about that later. The news is more important.”
