"Are you ready, Vic?"

My brother asks.

"To be honest with you, no."

He stops swinging on the swing, his feet digging into the sand as he comes to a halt. He looks behind me with sad eyes, they're probably here. We both jump off the swing set making our way towards the group.

Kellin comes up to me first, "What's wrong?"

His eyes that I'm going to miss so much filled with worry. I cup his face with my hands and pecked his lips. I didn't say anything.

"Is there any reason why you wanted to talk in real life instead of texting?" Alex asks.

I opened my mouth to speak but Mike beat me to it.

"Yeah. It's better if we all sit down at the picnic table for this."

We all make our way to the table and take a seat on the benches. Alan, Austin, Jack, and Alex sit on one side and Mike, Tony, Kellin, and I sit on the other. Austin was the first to speak.

"What's going on?"

He sent Mike and I look, probably sensing how tense we are. They all looked at us with curious eyes. Mike looked at me and I nod at him, urging him to talk. He glanced at Tony, who was snuggled up against him and looking up at, before speaking.

"I really don't know how to start so-"

He looked at me again before taking a deep breath.

"I'm just going to summarize everything. Our grandpa recently passed away last month. The one thing that meant the world to him was his shop, the San Diego Music Store. He wanted the shop to still be around when his time was done but no one of our family was willing to take over, except for our dad."

"The shop is in Florida" I choked out.

"We're moving" I said as I looked at everyone.

Mike looked down.

Everyone began to yell at us.

"What!?"

"You guys are going to leave!?"

"What about us!?"

"Hey! Vic and I have no choice!" Mike yelled.

The noise simmered down and it was quiet.

"Florida is all the way across the country." Tony spoke mostly directly at Mike, a tear running down his cheek.

He was hurt and I knew Kellin was too.

"Look, Vic and I really want to stay here. We tried to tell our parents that we were responsible enough that we can handle on our own. Hell, we're graduating in a few weeks", Mike scoffed.

"They would not listen to us, even after trying to convince them the day they told us."

"When did they tell you?"Jack asked.
