**Yes, I'm alive. Sorry this part is kinda short. I just wanted to post it for you guys. Hope you like.
I woke to the sounds of someone coughing. I recognized the sound of the coughing. It had happened to me more times than I cared to remember. It was the sound of someone coughing up blood.
My head shot up when I realized that it was Blade coughing. I looked down at him and saw that he was lying on his back. I quickly turned him on his side so that he wouldn't choke on his own blood. There was nothing scarier than waking up unable to breathe because of blood stuck in your throat.
He continued to cough and soon spat the blood out onto the ground. His breathing became steadier and relief flooded through me. He groaned and rolled back onto his back. He slowly opened his eyes, squinting up at me.
"What the hell happened? I feel like shit." A small flare of hope lit inside of me. What if he truly didn't remember any of it? Could he possibly escape my father?
I crushed that hope on my own. He had to know what my father had done to him. He wouldn't rest until he got an explanation for what happened. He was the only one with the message my father left for me. I had to make him remember.
I looked down at him, grudgingly ready to prod his memory. As he looked up at me, knowledge flashed through his eyes. "You remember now, don't you?"
He heaved a sigh. "Your father is a complete ass."
I let out a sound somewhere between a snort and a chuckle. "Tell me something I don't know."
"I get why you're afraid of him now."
I looked down at him incredulously as anger flared up inside of me. How could he even begin to presume he knew why I feared my father? Yes, my father had just beaten him half to death. He was hardly the only one that had happened to. He had no idea what my father put me through.
"You have no idea. Now tell me whatever message he gave you for me."
He turned his gaze from mine. "I don't remember it."
I shot up off the couch, infuriated that he would even try to pull that. I turned around and faced him. "Bullshit!" I spat at him.
"Ow. Fuck Shea. Watch how fast you get up. That fucking hurt."
"Tell me what the message was and I'll help you. If you don't tell me, well, all I have to say is good luck."
"Oh please. I would be just fine without your help Serpent Belle."
I crossed my arms and raised an eyebrow. I was obviously scoffing at his confidence. "Oh really? Try standing up dumb shit."
He glared at me while swinging his feet off the couch. He could be as defiant as he wanted. He was still going to be in a shit load of pain as soon as he tried to stand up. I smiled sweetly at him and gestured for him to continue.
He sat up on the couch, wincing in pain. He quickly tried to hide it as soon as he realized I had picked up on it. He pulled himself up and stood with his hands on his knees. I saw him bite his lower lip to keep from crying out. He was being such a dumb ass right now. He slowly lifted his shoulders up to stand as I stood still watching.
He attempted to defiantly look at me once he was up on his feet. Too bad it wasn't possible for him as his face paled and he bit his lip so hard it was bleeding. Before I knew what was happening, he crumpled down onto the floor. The idiot had just made himself pass out from pain. Although, I had to give him props for standing up.
"You are so dumb sometimes Bat Boy," I chuckled as I bent to get him up off the ground. I paused with my arms under him. I decided to leave him on the ground. He still hadn't told me what that message from my father was. He could figure out his own way back onto the couch. I refused to help him until he told me what the message from my father was.
