Logan's POV

I turned off the ignition and put my car keys into my pocket and got out of my car. I was already late to one of my best friends Marcus Cooper's bachelor party. Looking at the Radiate, I started making my way towards the entrance. I looked at Steven, the bouncer. He gave me a nod, letting me in. You could say I'm a regular customer here at the Radiate. When I'm not at the office, I'm usually here sitting at the bar. As I walked through the wave of sweaty people, I hear someone calling me from behind.

"Blake!"

I turned around to see Carter Matthews. He's the owner of this place and he happens to be my other best friend. Girls drool over him because of his dark hair and sharp jawline. Not to mention his green eyes that girls swoon over. Out of all of us he's the casanova.

"Hey man!" I grin, giving him a man hug.

"I'm not surprised Blake. You're always late. Everyone's upstairs if you're wondering" he shouts over the loud music.

"I was at the office. A guy needs to work" I tell him as we start making our way to where the actual bachelor party is. The Radiate had two levels. The top floor is the VIP level where the bachelor party was being held tonight and the bottom floor is where the dance floor and bar are. I can already see the guys since our table is near the railing. I could see all of the people Marcus invited for his bachelor party. His older brothers Alex and Trevor were here, along with Marcus' buddies from college.

"Oh c'mon man, you're always working. When was the last time you got laid?" he asked casually.

"Well..," I trail off, "it's been a while" I finished.

"Yoooo Logan! Finally man! I thought you weren't going to make it," Marcus came up to me and we fist bump.

"Sorry bro, I had a lot of work to get done. Meetings are starting to fill up my schedule more that it use to" I tell him.

"Hey, look who finally decided to show up!" I heard Dominic call from beside Alex. I looked around and saw that Dominic, Carter, and Aiden were here too. All three of them went to college with Marcus. I greeted the remaining five guys and took a seat next to Carter, while Marcus sat across from us. A waitress stops by at our table holding a tray with a couple of drinks on it. I take one off the tray and chug it down.

"So when are you guys planning on getting hitched?" Marcus asked everyone at the table. Marcus is engaged to his fiancé, Sophia. He's getting married in a week.

"Nope, not interested. I'm okay with my flings" Carter says while taking a sip from his bottle of beer.

"It's cause you never found the one yet" Marcus laughed.

Carter smiled, "why are you getting so girly Marcus?" he interjected, "just because you're getting married doesn't mean that all of us have to. Us men live for the excitement."

While Carter argues with Marcus about how us men shouldn't be brought together with a woman in holy matrimony, I turned and started talking to Trevor and Aiden about what would happen during Marcus and Sophia's wedding in a few days. Somehow we ended up making a bet on who would get bat shit drunk during the reception.

While Trevor was telling us about a new employee that he just hired. I just couldn't pay attention to my surroundings. My eyes starting wandering around the club. My eyes suddenly landed on the bar where I saw a familiar figure. I stood up and walked towards the railing.

"Scarlett" I whispered.

"Dude what the hell are you saying? Scarlett's not here. You must be really drunk if you're seeing your dead girlfriend." I didn't notice Carter walk beside me, leaning on the railing. He's right. Scarlett's gone. She isn't here.
