Loving Lucy (On hold)

Chapter 4

I hope everyone likes this chapter.  I am sorry it took so long to upload and I have had a lot going on.  Please vote and comment I need all the help and encouragement I can get.

I was standing at the front of the church hugging everyone.  It felt like I would actually explode from happiness.  I can't believe that I couldn't see what I was missing.  I felt like a whole new person.  Mick was making his way up to hug me with the biggest smile on his face.  He walked up to me and gave me a big hug.

"Melanie I am so proud of you.  I know that God is going to use you in mighty ways.  Congratulations."

"Thank you.  I am so excited.   I feel awesome!"  Mick hugged Anna next to me.   We hugged the last of the people and went to get Lucy from children's church.   She was coloring a picture of  Noah's ark and talking with the preachers daughter who was helping with the class.  She jumped up and ran when she saw me.

"Mama Mrs. Janey told me that next Sunday we are going to get to see a puppet show!  Can I come back please."  I couldn't believe how lucky I was to be able have such a wonderful child and now I have Jesus in my heart.  It couldn't get any better.

After we picked up Lucy we found Mick waiting by my car.  Lucy ran to him to show him her picture of Noah.  She babbled on about children's church to him jumping up and down with excitement.   He  told he what a fine job she did and she  then jumped in the car to get her baby doll and her bottle.  "Aunt Anna look at my baby doll Meme got me she has a real bottle and everything."

"Wow I love it.  Why don't you get in your seat and feed her.  I bet she is hungry."  Lucy did as she was told baby talking her baby like a adoring little mama.  Mick was laughing at Lucy's sweetness.

"Mel she is so adorable.  I was wondering if ya'll want to go somewhere and eat?  My treat. I would love to visit with you guys."  Anna looked at me a smiled.

"I don't have any plans what about you and Lucy?" 

"I think that would be great!  Where did you have in mind Mick?"  I checked on Lucy in the car before looking back at Mick.

"Well does Lucy like Cracker Barrel?   I think some good old fashioned cooking sounds good."  I couldn't believe what he was saying.  He had only met her once and he was so considerate of her and her wants.  It was so sweet.

"Yeah she love it.  Especially the homemade biscuits and dumplings.  We'll meet you guys there okay."  We all agreed to meet up there.

Lucy was so excited to be going to the place with the biscuits.  She rambled all the way there.  Anna and Mick had gotten there before us and Mick had picked Lucy out a princess coloring book and some colors. 

"I thought you would like to color in this while you waited for your food Lucy."  Mick handed the book to Lucy who took it and hugged his legs tightly giggling.  Shocked Mick leaned down and patted her back.

"Thank you Mr. Mick. I love it.  Look mama it has all kinds of princesses in it."  I just couldn't believe how incredibly sweet he was.

"You are welcome.  I think they just called our table."   Mick said and we followed him and the waitress to a table and sat down.

"Excuse me Sir.  Are you Mick Jackson the Christian singer."  Asked a teenage girl who looked around 15 years old.

"Yes I am."  Mick looked a little nervous but quickly covered it with a smile.

"May I have your autograph please?" The girl said shyly.

"Of course what is your name?"   The girl smile was so big I thought her cheeks would crack.
