"Lucy I invited an old friend from school named Mick to go with us today.  I have known him since I was a baby myself.  I want you to be on your best behavior today okay?"  Lucy looked up from the television.

"Okay Mommy."  she said as she continued watching Tangled on the TV in the Living room.

"Oh Melanie that sounds good.  You haven't gotten out very much lately and especially not with anyone other than Lucy and Anna.  How is Mick?  Has he changed much?"

"Well he is now a famous contemporary christian artist on the top 10 charts.  He has changed so much. He was always a great friend but something about him is different.  He is so handsome now!  He is actually almost beautiful.  It's been so long since we have spoken to one another but I realized that I have really missed our friendship."  I looked at my mother and she had this goofy smile on her face.

"It sound like someone has a small crush on her old best friend.  As far as him being different well baby God changes people for the better and it sounds like Mick has changed for the best."  Just then there was a knock on the door.  Lucy was still watching her movie.  I walked to the door and open it.

"Mick  come in.   We'll only be a minute."  I said heading into the living room to turn off the TV.  "Hey Lucy this is my friend Mick tell him hello."

"Hello my name is Lucy.  We're going to chucky cheese!"  Lucy was jumping up and down.

"Hello Ms. Lucy I am pleased to meet you.  Your mama and Aunt Anna were my best friends when I was your age."  Mick said shaking  Lucy's hand and smiling.

"Baby tell Meme and Poppie you'll see them later so we can go to see Chucky!"  That was all I had to say and she flew out the room to the kitchen where my parent were.

"Mel she is so adorable.  I love that her name is Lucy and she has red hair.  Did you name her after I love Lucy?"   He knew how much I loved old movies and TV shows.

"Actually  when I was having a 4d sonogram I could see her face and I don't know Lucy just kind of popped up and I knew she was my little Lucy."  I said rembering that day as Lucy came running.  She grabbed my hand and pulled me out the door with Mick following laughing the whole way.

"Do you have a car seat for her I'll get it and put it in my truck so we can go together?"   I walked over to my pearl white Nissan Maxima and opened the back door but before I could get it Mick had it in his hand and walking over to this fine grayish black  Z71 it was so  tall and beautiful.

"Just put it in the seat and Lucy knows how to buckle herself."  I laughed when she reached up for him and said   "I'm gonna need a little help getting in your monster truck. It is so cool isn't it mama?"

"Yeah Mick this truck is beautiful."  I said as I turned to walk to the passenger side to get in.  Before I could open the door Mick appeared out of nowhere opened my door and said "Here let me help you into my monster truck.  It's a little tall."   Mick sounded amused that Lucy called his truck a monster truck.

"Thanks Mick."  As soon as he touched my hand to help me into the truck I got this weird feeling in the pit of my stomach.  I got in and then we headed to chucky cheese talking and laughing the whole way.

Lucy was so excited she was running from one game to the other while Mick and I watched from a nearby table.

"So do you still live in Tennessee?  I bet you are really  busy being on tour and all.  I didn't even know that you could sing."  I said and waved at Lucy playing pin ball.

"Well I do live in Tennessee but am in the process of moving closer to home to be around for my mama.  As far as me singing I've always sang in the shower but was never that good but some how after my coma I got saved and turned my life around.  I had been praying that God would show me his will for my life and I don't know one day I was bored and started writing what I thought was a poem to God and thought that sounds kinda like a song.  I sat down with my guitar and started singing.  One day I sang my song at my church and it just so happened that in the congregation sat a record producer and he asked me if I would like to make a living singing my praises and life songs to God. That is how I became a Christian Artist."
