the red haired boy's gaze turns towards the the front door, a pair of ocean blue eyes meet his and he immediately rolls his eyes. the stupid blonde that lived across the street from him  had been showing up to the starbucks he worked at for the past week on purpose to annoy him. of course it was working though. 

"hey punk, i knew you were working today."he says with a grin on his lips.

"wish you didn't."he murmurs underneath his breath.

"what was that?"the blonde asks curiously, meeting his gaze once more.

"nothing, what can i do for you today?"michael asks in the most annoyed, un-cheerful tone.

"i'll have the pumpkin spice latte and your number."he said with a cocky grin.

"what kind of basic white girl are you? and excuse me? i will never give a dirtbag like you my number."michael says in disgust, it wasn't that he was trying to be mean but he really hated luke.

luke's eyes widened but his grin only grew wider, "didn't have to be so rude, baby. fine, just give me the coffee, but by the end of the week i bet you twenty bucks that i will have your number."

"you're on. name?"michael asks, waiting to get some sort of stupid response from the male.

"the hottest blonde alive."luke answers.

"cocky asshole? got it."michael says with a smirk on his face, it was so weird, he didn't even know the blonde's name yet sees him almost every day.

luke pays for his drink and rolls his eyes as he sees "cocky asshole" written on his cup of coffee. he sits down at one of the tables and watches as michael took orders. he didn't know his name but liked teasing him. 

the blonde had moved into the red-haired kid's neighborhood just two months ago, all michael knew was that his last name was hemmings and that he was devilishly handsome and a douchebag. 

after luke left the coffee shop he waved at michael and told him that he would see him tomorrow.

michael wasn't  looking forward to it.
