The six boys played on the sand as they waited for the oldest to arrive.
The youngest, Jungkook, played on the sand by the water of the beach. His feet left imprints on the wet sand. He smiled as he ran back and fourth, seeing the imprints of his feet start to overlap each other.
The second youngest, Taehyung, laid in the sand; his hair getting very sandy. He put one of his hands over his eyes to block the sun and the other was resting on his stomach. His stomach didn't feel too well. It just happened, he didn't know why. He had woken up just fine, but now he felt he stomach twist and turn as he clenched his jaw, he felt like something bad was about to happen. He felt dread for something he didn't know would happen.
The third youngest, Jimin, sat by Taehyung's feet. Jimin was getting bored and restless as he waited for the oldest, so He grabbed a handful of sand and carefully put it on Taehyung's foot. He looked up and saw that Taehyung didn't notice that Jimin had started to bury his feet in the sand and. Since Taehyung hadn't noticed, Jimin started to bury Taehyung's feet in the hot sand to occupy himself.
The fourth oldest, Namjoon, sat reading a book under the umbrella that he had brought. He patiently waited for the oldest to come. He felt like the father of 4 of the boys, the other boy with him was too much of a grandpa for Namjoon to baby him. But by now Namjoon couldn't take Jimin coming up to him every 2 minutes asking where the eldest of the group was.
The third oldest, Hoseok, had started to run after Jungkook to pass the time and get sunscreen on the burning boy. Namjoon had tried to get sunscreen on the 4 other boys before, but it didn't work, so all of the boys had started to burn. Hoseok had taken it upon himself to get sunscreen on the boys and Jungkook was far too fast for Hoseok, but he didn't give up on trying to get sunscreen on Jungkook's body so that he wouldn't burn.
The second oldest, Yoongi, was too tired to run at all. Instead, he laid on a blanket starting to drift off. Hoseok had come around and spread sunscreen on Yoongi's face to keep him from burning. Yoongi was tired, he hadn't even wanted to get out of bed today, but the others urged him to go to the beach with them.
The oldest, Jin, was the only one not at the dorm with the other boys when they woke up. He had gone to visit his mother who was in town. Namjoon had called him to tell him that all of the boys wanted to go to the beach (Except Yoongi who just wanted to stay in bed.) Jin was now on his way to go see them. He drove, dread in the pit of his stomach. He knew what would happen. He had no choice. He kept driving as he waited for the red Honda to come swerving down the road and as soon as it did Jin quickly turned the wheel to avoid the car and everything went just as Jin knew it would.
The screech of the tires on the road, the shattering glass, the screams, someone rushing to open his door and pull him out, every detail was the same. Something he himself could not change.
