Running away now seemed like Jungkook's number 1 priority. He had packed and had everything ready.
He didn't get a bank account, instead he withdrew it all and easily hid some in his grandmother's house. The rest was either with him or in other hiding places. No one would be able to trace it though. He had gotten a new number and phone he even changed services. He cut off anything that could have linked him with the phone number.
He also got a jalopy from an old couple that had been selling it. They kept no records, so it was perfect. He even had to get a licence plate for a similar car, just not under his name, picture, or anything that could link back to him.
He had also purchased a few other accessories from other places without any record to link back to him.
Jungkook was bent on running away. He would just disappear, but that would cause problems. People would start looking for him and his face would be plastered everywhere in attempt to find him which would make it a lot harder, but that's where the accessories came in.
They were clothes, wigs, contacts, make up and whatever he would need to make himself look boring and ordinary. Enough to make anyone overlook him.
Of course, this was just an easy escape for him. Running.
He could be someone completely different. No one would ask him about the other guys. No one would bother him to make music ever again. He would never have to spend another late night dancing. It was over. His passion had died with the guys and laid 6 feet under now.
Once he got away he wouldn't be coming back. He first planned to make his way to Busan. He of course had gotten the jalopy so that no cameras could get a clear view of him on a train to Busan.
He wasted no time in getting out of the dorm on January 8th. He had everything prepared.
He wore his hair slicked back; easily exposing his face. Since his face was exposed he needed something to change it. He wore contacts that were slightly different from his actual eye color. It wasn't the most drastic change, but it was enough to make him less recognizable. He then wore fake glasses. The fake lenses were thick and the frames were a plain black with a thick square shape. He has to think of something better to mask his features.
He had learned somethings from watching other people put his makeup on, so it didn't take him long to figure out how to change the shape of his face with contour. He made the illusion that his face was rounder than it actually was. He also added light eye bags and added some imperfections to give anyone the idea that he was older than he actually was.
He wore a nicely ironed suit to blend in with all of the rushed buisness men and made his way to the car that was parked a long walk away to keep out of anyone's judgemental view. He quickly got in and started the long drive.
There was only one reason as to why he was disappearing.
Acceptance.
He wanted to start new. The acceptance of his friends' deaths allowed him to want to start new, but with the title he carried he wouldn't have been able to do so very easily.
Not only was he running because he wanted to start new anymore, he was running out of the growing suspicion that had been concentrated on him in the past month. Although the whole dissappearing plan would attract the wrong attention to him, they had already tried to accuse him and he had to think fast.
The detectives had taken him from the streets and had interrogated him. Later it was made clear to him that he was the main suspect in the should-not-be-existing case. It didn't take him long to see that they had a strong eye on him and suspected him for multiple murders. Not only the 'murders' of his friends, but also the murder of an alcoholic man.
This didn't make sense to Jungkook as he did not understand how this had all escalated so quickly. From a simple car accident of his friend to him being the main suspect of 7 murders.
They clearly weren't gonna believe that Jungkook hadn't done them as he did not have a solid alibi for any of the murders. No one could truly say that he was truly where he says he was at the time of each death. So, Jungkook ran while he could.
All the way to Busan.
