A week later I was released from hospital and a week after that I was allowed back in school. David had stayed home with me and was driving me back to school on Monday.
Made a wrong turn.
Once or twice...I got up and pulled on my white top and flowery skirt, I pulled on one of my black converse and stood up.
I stood up with my crutches and hooked to the bathroom. I covered the light bruises on my face and replaced the dressings on my stomach, shoulder and hip.
Dug my way out blood and fire...
David woke up and quickly got dressed then helped me down the stairs and into his car.
"You ready baby" he said
"Did you just call me baby?"
"Erm yeh I guess I did"Bad decisions. Thats alright...
We both laughed and I looked down at my phone, I can't wait till my new bike is ready. Hell yes I'm carrying on driving them, it's my life.
Welcome to my silly life...
I got out of the car and we both wobbled up the path, I saw Kelly approaching me the second David left for his lesson.
"I'm like so sorry I like totally didn't know" she muttered.
"Just f**king move Kelly I don't want to be around you" I carried on to my lesson and she followed me "you should like totally come for lunch with me and the girls" she said
I laughed and told her "I'd like totally rather be skinned alive and fed to rabid dogs" she turned and walked away and I wobbled into the classroom.Mistreated, misplaced, misunderstood
Miss No-Way-It's-All-Good,
It didn't slow me down.
Mistaken, always second guessing
Underestimated, look, I'm still aroundI heard multiple people talking about me, about My dad, about the accident. Suddenly a boy sat next to me and said "thankgod i didn't kill you"
"Kill me?" I asked
"I. I. I'm the one who hhit you"
I stumbled to my feet and swung back my fist. I punched the boy in the face and my phone pinged. I had a text from the motorbike dealer
'Your motorcycle is ready for you to collect'
I smiled and pulled my crutches walking out of the room. I heard people mutter things like
'Shes still a freak'
'No wonder her dad did that'.
Only Kelly and her friend were speaking, everyone else was having a go at them.Pretty, pretty, please, don't you ever, ever feel
Like you're less than fucking perfect
Pretty, pretty, please, if you ever, ever feel
Like you're nothing. You're fucking perfectI wobbled down the road and finally got to the garage, I pulled on my leather jacket and walked inside, I put the money on the desk, took the keys and wobbled to the bike i climbed on and took my crutches to bits so they'd fit in the seat. I put the helmet on and the man came over
"Are you sure you should be riding" he asked. I laughed and started the engine of my gorgeous new motorcycle. I sped off down the road happy from the rush it gave me.You're so mean, so mean when you talk, when you talk
About yourself. You were wrong.
Change the voices, change the voices in your head, in your head
Make them like you instead...I pulled up outside the park as I felt my phone ringing
"Hello
Ash where are you?
I went for a walk
Where?
I'm just on my way home
Why?
Not feeling well
I'm coming to see you
No no I'm fine I'll probably come back soon
Everyone's talking about jack.
Jack?
The boy you punched.
Oh. I gotta go.
See you in ten.
What.
I'm coming home bye"
