My fiancée and I decided to take a break from each other. He left for California and I stayed in Maine. He sends me texts like, "I love you," "I miss you," and "I want to see you again want to meet up?" I love him and I miss him too. We want to get back together, but what do we have to go through to see each other? Wait, before I tell you the rest let's start from the beginning.

We met when I was 14 and he was 15. He was the guy everyone wanted to be friends with. We went to school together, but he was a grade ahead of me. I was walking in the hallway with my head down a little bit. While I turned the corner, he was turning the same corner, but the opposite way. We ended up walking into each other. We talked and exchanged numbers. He texted me later that night. When I saw him the next morning, he was standing by my locker waiting for me. "How did you get my locker number?" I asked him.
"I might have asked some kids on your grade" he replied, blushing a deep red.
"Ha," I said laughing, "it's okay. You could've just asked me though you know?"
"Yeah, I know that, but I want to give you a surprise."
"What?" I put my backpack into my locker and my school supplies that I needed was in the ground. He grabbed my arm and wrapped me into a hug. I gasped when he pulls me in, but I hugged him back. " You know," he started," we've only known each other for a little under 24 hours. Let's play 20 questions."
"Yeah! Let's play! Should I go first or are you going first?"
"I go first" he said. "What's is your favorite color? Mine is green"
"My favorite color is red. What is your favorite hobby? Mine is writing."
"Reading. What is your idea of a first date. Mine is going to see a movie." He said.
"Um... Mine would be going to see a movie and then going to dinner. Nothing really fancy" I said. The bell rang signaling that we had two minutes to get to class. "Okay, I need to go to class. Bye!" He grabbed my hand and pulled me into another hug. I hug him back and then run to my first class of the day, which is Geometry.
" I need to you try to do the midpoint formula. What is the Mid---..." I couldn't pay any attention. I was just thinking of... him.

~Parker POV~
I watched he as she left then I went to my class. Everyone was staring at me and it was probably because most of them saw me hug Emmalyn. I sit and wait for Anatomy and Physiology to end.
"We are learning about all the muscle. Can anyone tell me wh--" I zoned out and thought about Emmalyn. What grade was she in? Does she have a boyfriend? Theses were all questions I was asking myself. After A+P I had 2 more classes then I had lunch. When I got to my table, I saw Emmalyn sitting with her friends. I walked over there and asked her to sit with my friends and I. She looked at her friends and the all said that she should do it. I grabbed her hand and brought her to my table. "Emmalyn, this is Blake, Dominic, Ashlyn, Tori, and Jorge" I said pointing to everyone. "Everyone, this is Emmalyn, the girl I told you about." I look over at Emmalyn and she's blushing, but her eyes are sparkling.
"We've heard so much about you! Come on sit down, we don't bite. Well, I'm not sure about Blake, but the rest of us don't."
"Hey!" He said, laughing, "that hurts!" Emmalyn grabs a chair and sits down next to me. Once she sits down she looks at her friends and blushes a deep red. "So... Emmalyn." I start to say, "why don't you tell us a little bit about yourself."
"Okay. I turn 15 in a couple days and I am a freshman." She went on to tell us more about her then asked about us.

~Emmalyn's POV~

"What do you like to do for fun?" Dominic asked me.
"Well normally I am reading or writing. It really depends on my mood."
"Do you go to parties on Friday nights?" Ashlyn asked me.
"No... I've kinda never been to one..." I mumble.
"WHAT!?!" She yells
"Ashlyn, quiet down!! Please" I say. Everyone is staring over at our table.
"HOW CAN YOU NEVER HAVE GONE TO A PARTY!?!"
"Ashlyn... please just stop yelling!" I say starting to panic. I can feel the heat going to my face. "Emma, I have a party this weekend and you have to come!"
"Okay why not!"
"Yes! I will make this party awesome!"

I was walking to my history class when someone pulled me into a dark, empty classroom. "Hello Emmalyn. How are you?" The person asked me.
"I'm okay. Who grabbed me?"
"Really?! We dated for 2 years and now you can't even recognize my voice?!" It's James, my ex-boyfriend. We were best friends then we started dating in 8th grade. I broke up with him because he cheated on me with someone I was kind of friends with. The person that he was cheating on me with came up and asked me what was going on between us. I told her that we were boyfriend and girlfriend. I asked James to come over to the both of us and I ask him why he cheated on me. He said "how'd you fi... you know I would never cheat on you Emmy."
"Don't call me Emmy" I replied,"we are through. I can't believe you would cheat on me." And with that I slapped him. "Why'd you do that?"
"Seriously! You really want to ask me that question right now. I just found out you were cheating on me and you ask why I slapped you! You deserve that slap you little ---" Someone grabs my shoulder.
"Are you even listening to me?" I snap out of my flashback and look at James.
"Why did you bring me in here James?" I ask him.
"I brought you in here so I can give you what you refused to give me when we dated! Your first kiss!" He started to lean in when the classroom door opened. Parker walks in and sees James trying to kiss me. He pushes James away and then looks to me. "Why weren't you in history?"
"James grabbed me and then tried to kiss me."
"Why was he trying to kiss you?"
"Because I refused to kiss him for the year that we were dating."
"Have you had your first kiss then?"
"No... I have not. Why?"
"Because I haven't either" he said. "Can I give you your first kiss?"
"Yes" I said. He kissed me for a couple seconds. "You know that James guy sounds like a real ---" he started to say.
"Don't say it! I already know!"
"Okay, I won't!"
"We should get to class"
"Wait! Can I ask you something Emmalyn?"
"Sure. What do you need?"
"Will you go out with me?"
"Like be your girlfriend?"
"Yes, like be my girlfriend." He said laughing. Then he got very serious." It's okay if you don't want to."
"Yes I'll be your girlfriend."

That's what I remember from the beginning of my high school experience. I graduated last year. I was the 2000 class and Parker was the 1999 class. He came to my graduation and asked me to marry him when I got my diploma. I looked at my parents than at my friends. I really did love him. We've been dating for 4 years and they were the best 4 years of my life. I looked at him and told him yes. Everyone cheered and I had makeup running down my face because I was crying. Not because I was sad, but because I was so happy! He grabbed my hand and kissed me. Our wedding was planned for tomorrow, but we got into a fight last night. He left for California for work and I stayed in Maine. He wants to meet up sometime, so we're going to flying to Colorado. We are meeting at a little coffee shop called Little Miss Cake and Coffee. We are meeting in two days, my nerves keep getting to me.
Ring Ring
My phone buzzed and a text from Parker came up.
"Hey, how are you doing? Where did you say we were meeting up again? Don't want to buy the wrong ticket."
"Hello. I'm doing fine. We are meeting up in Colorado at a little coffee shop called Little Miss Cake and Coffee.
"Wow! That's a weird name! Can't wait to see you! I have to go. Talk to you later."
"Bye" I ended. I have to buy my tickets still, so I grabbed my computer and bought it. After I bought my tickets, I finished packing. When I finished packing, it's 11 p.m. and I head to bed.
