Chapter 7

February, 2025

We stood there for a moment, looking into each other's eyes. "What's step two?" She asked, moving on from what she previously said. "Step two is finding out where the chips are" "What are you hungry?" "The tracking devices Amy. Not food" I had my face in my hand. "Woo, how we gonna do that?" "Patricia" "whoa, who the hell is Patricia?" She put her hands on her hips. "The scientists assistant" "Oh, lady in the lab coat" I nodded my head and pushed my ear against the door. I peeked out the small window, "I'll wait for her to come by" "why?" "Just watch and see" I saw her round the corner. Go inside, just see what there doing. She stopped, she turned her head to the door. They could be doing something wrong, no one's checked on them in awhile. She walked up to the door and opened it. Amy looked at me amazed, "Patricia" I said and closed the door behind her. "If you keep me in her someones gonna come" "Don't worry, all I need is a couple of minutes" I got up close to her to tower over her. She was a young small lady, "you can be intimidating when you want to Mr.Johnson" Amy cupped her hand over her mouth. "Haha" I glared at Patricia. "Yes, Ms.Greeve. I can be" I pushed her up against the wall. "Where are the chips? The tracking devices" her face was red. "W- why would I tell you?" "You sound scared Ms.G" "I'll never tell you" "hmm, too bad. You were nice" Amy got out of her luaghing state, "wait, you didn't say anything about killing?!" She pulled me away from her. "Well, I don't know. That's up to Patricia" the door opened and Sonic walked in. He grabbed Patricia, "look forward to the consequences if you keep pulling off this kind of shinanigins" he closed the door. I looked at Amy and winked, "the plan was to get her scared enough that she would think about what she wasn't suppose to tell us" "then you would read her mind, brilliant" she put her arms around my neck and let them hang there. "You scared me for a second, but I knew you had some quirky plan" "there in our ankles" she scrunched up her nose. "That's gonna be a pain getting out and it must have been a pain putting in" "good thing we were alseep" I held out my hand. She summoned the void and a scalpel fell out, she managed to sneak on one of her trips. I breathed out, "here we go" "wait" she grabbed my hand. "Okay, sorry. I'm ready" she let go and I nodded my head. My hand shook as I put the blade closer to my skin. I made an incision, almost imedialty I had found it. I pulled it out, Amy had her hand over her mouth as not to barf. "Crap! It's done!" I threw the scalpel and the tracking device on the ground and clenched my ankle. "My turn" she grabbed the scalpel and cut in and grabbed the chip. She grabbed a pillow, "ahhhh!" I heard her muffled scream. "I'm good" she looked pale. I grabbed the cloth they had so helpfully provided us with, from when I had that large cut on my face, and wrapped it around hers and mine ankle. "Thanks" she picked up both chips and pocketed them. "So how are we gonna get out the fence?" "I have an idea." I broke the window in the room, and I jumped out. I rolled when I hit the ground and made it, no injuries. Fatal injuries. "Jump!!" I yelled to her, she put her leg on the other side of the window and did the same with the other. "I can't! I'll break something and slow you down" "trust me and jump!" The door in the room opened and Sonic rushed in and grabbed her arm. "Amy!!" She hit him and yanked her arm away. She fell down, I kept my eyes on her. I caught her in my arms, "time to go" I ran quickly with her in my arms, bridal style. I ran up to the gate, "augh!" I made a red orb transmit from me and break a hole in the gate. "Shadow!" Amy yelled as she pointed in the sky at helicopters. I turned and went another way. I hadn't noticed this place was on a cliff, "stop now or we will shoot" the commander, Nelson, yelled from a megaphone. I hijacked one of the armored cars and pushed everyone inside off. "Look out!" Amy screamed as another truck slammed into us. "Have you ever driven before?!" "No, but now's a good time to figure it out" I slammed on the gas. The truck scrapping off the paint was pushing us left so I tried steering right. This kept us going strait. "There's a cliff!" I kept going, "lets see who chickens out first" I tried ousheing harder right but then one of the tires blew out. We swirved and hit a tree and topled over. I climber over to Amy and grabbed and shielded her from the blow as best as I could. The car rolled all the way to the cliff. It slid and stopped just before the edge. "Surrender n-" BOOM. The cat riding along side us had slammed into us from the crash and pushed the car off the cliff. Us along with it. Before the moment I looked over at Amy, "Shadow?" "Amy" she grabbed me and I pulled forward and we kissed. The car fell, all the shattered glass flew throughout the car. The world stopped as my vision became white then black. "I love you..."
