Chapter 4

I sat at the bottom of the bleachers in the gym waiting for the teacher. Tein has the same class as me because her teacher went on maternity leave. She was putting her hair up in a top knot.

"Well look who it is. I gotta say grieving sure looks good on you." It was Monique. I couldn't look up at her.

"I didn't know it was you until I heard this midget here call your name."  At this Tein jumped from her seat an stood directly in front of Monique

"What's good bitch?" Tein asked glaring at her.

"What would be good is if I had a spearmint to give you but I'm all out. Sorry"

"Well I never-"

"Never gonna grow anymore?"

"You know what?" Tein asked in a sickly sweet voice " I will never stoop to your level I may be short but I'm way ahead of you in life." Tein smirked and started to walk off.

"Why you little bi-" Monique screamed while grabbing Tein's hair.

By this all the students in the gym started shouting fight! Fight! Fight!

I quickly got up from my seat. "Let her go Monique" I said darkly.

"Why should I? I hate the bitch"

When she said that I punched her in the face. I mean she is way taller than me but I did.

"Arrgg you broke my nose" she screamed.

"I'm sorry I messed up your nose job but it was hideous."

Tein grabbed my hand and dragged me out of the gym.

"Where are we going?" I questioned her.

"To the beach."

"The beach? But we are still in school." I stop and glared at her. "I'm not ditching school."

"I know I know you don't want to spoil your perfect record blah blah blah, but please do this for me?"

"Fine"

"Yeaaahh!" She did a little happy dance.

We went to the locker room to grab our stuff. We didn't bother to change
As we got to my car I heard someone hollering Tein's name.

It was the grey green eyed god. I stood there in awe. He had on a fitted white t-shirt that showed every dip and curve of his muscles.

"Where are you guys going?" He asked folding his huge arms and raised a perfectly shaped brow at us. By god! He is so perfect.

"To the beach. Wanna join?"

"Yeah, sure."

I gaped at them.

"Zoe aren't you going to open the door or are you going to let heat kill us?"

"Ahh, I'm sorry" I mumbled, I quickly opened the doors. We got in, well Tein got in the back while Adonis sat in the passenger seat.

"W-what are you doing?" I asked him

"I'm trying to get to know you. Is that ok?" He asked earnestly.

"Umm, yeah I muttered."

Tein snickered from the back. I glared at her in the rear view mirror. She made kissing face at me. I glanced at Adonis to see if he noticed the exchange but he was busy tapping away on his phone.

Relived I pulled out of the school grounds and made our way to the beach.

"Zoe I want music."

I gave her my phone. It was connected to the car's stereo. 

O M G! She didn't! She did. She stared signing along  to kiss it better by Rihanna.

"Been waiting on that sunshine boy, I think I need that back, can't do it like that, no one else gon' get it like that, so why argue-"

I turned off the radio.

"Hey I was listening to that" she pouted.

"No my friend you were not, and I hate to inform you but it's 1:25 pm and not 6 am"

She punched me. She freaking punched me.

"That hurt you know, I will not take the blame for you not being blessed with good vocals. Blame your parents"

"You are so in for it now"

"Wha-"

Tein jumped from the back seat and tried to strangle me. Luckily Adonis grabbed her in time.

"Chill Tein, she is driving. Do you want us to die?" He asked with a smile on his lips.

"I'm sorry Zoe" she muttered.

"Humph" I replied.

"I'll buy you coffee"  I glanced at her through my rearview mirror. 

"Fine, I'll buy you coffee every morning for the rest of the week."

I smiled "deal"
