Every Love Story Is Beautiful But Ours Is My Favorite

                             Alec and I then stepped aside and talked for a bit. "Do you wanna dance with me?" those words catch me off guard. Everything stops and it feels as if my heart skipped a beat and is now about to burst from my chest from beating so fast and hard. My cheeks flush with warmth and i try to hide my face afraid he might see how hard I'm blushing right now. As I'm squealing and jumping up and down on the inside, I manage to have the word "sure" maneuver its way from my mouth calmly. 

                            As we wait for a slow song to come on we travel through the packed building looking for people we know and things to do at one moment we stop and play some rounds of air hockey, but of course he won. Then after those few rounds of air hockey we said hi to a few friends and all hung out and talked. Then the song "Thinking Out Loud" came on.

                               We looked at each other then headed down stairs towards the dance room. As we approached the room we could see how packed it was of couples and maybe soon to be couples slow dancing. We tried squeezing our way through the crowd to find a space big enough for us to slow dance also. We finally made our way to a corner in the room where I found my best friend and her boyfriend and where there was just enough space for Alec and I to slow dance.

                                I place my arms on his shoulders, around his neck and he places his around my sides above my waist. I wish I could've stayed in his arms forever, his warmth seemed to welcome me, even though the room felt as if it was 1,000 degrees.

                               As we slow danced for minutes that seemed to be hours, which made me even more happier, it finally occurred to me what that feeling was, what it meant. Heck, I knew it all along, but i was just now accepting it, just now telling myself it. I'm in love. I love him. I, love, Alec.
