As we walk down the packed sidewalks once again looking for a store that might have a bathroom, well now looking with three pair of eyes instead of one.
We pass by Jared and his group of friends. I smile and wave, then he waves back then he looks at Alec and nods and Alec nods back.
I was leading, but Alec soon joined me at my side as Gio trailed behind us. I almost jump like a cat that gets spooked when I suddenly feel something wrap around me. My heart started picking up its pace violently fast and my stomach fills with a turning sensation of butterflies as I look over, and it occurs to me that he has put his arm around me.
As I can't help but smile widely and adore what is happening. A fear over comes me though, "What if my dad sees this?" "I'm not sure he would approve." I think to myself.
I lower my head in a sad gesture and shrug off his arm and he pulls it to his side then tucks his hand into his pocket. I look at him and he is giving me a look that is full of question and confusement.
"I don't know if my dad would approve and I don't wanna get in trouble or ruin our chance or something." I manage to get out and try to explain. He nods, "Ok" he says. I get a rush of guilt and regretfulness. "I'm sorry." "It's ok."
"This one looks like it might have a bathroom." "No I don't think so." "Hey this one might though." "No" ..... "We've walked pretty far." "Ya" "Hey, just go in this one. I'm sure there's one in here."
His words catch me off guard as I notice I kept walking not noticing that he had stopped at one of the stores. I blush with embarrassment as I spin around to see him pointing at a store. We walk inside and I ask the pretty blonde with her hair pulled back into a ponytail if there was a restroom and sure enough there was.
That was a long walk just for a restroom.
