History:

All monsters are descended from an Alpha, or leader, who are the progenitors of their various species. The Alphas were born of Eve, the Mother of All Monsters, an entity that first walked the Earth some 10,000 years ago. Leviathans were the first beasts created by God, they were banished to Purgatory as means of protecting creation from their hunger. It is also implied that Eve, and her progeny, are in some fashions descended from the Leviathans.

Purgatory also serves as the final resting place for the souls of the Monsters. However, Purgatory is also home to the natives of that plane-- such as gorilla-wolves as well as the unknown species that Eve belongs to.

What The Different Creatures Are:

Werewolves -- mythological humans with the ability to shape shift into a wolf, or hybrid, either purposely or after being placed under a curse. There are two types, Lycan and Loric. Lycans are formed in Tribes and more in touch with the spiritual side, they also do not have another side that would be consider their 'wolf side'. Lorics are formed in packs and less in touch with the spiritual side. They do have a 'wolf side' in which, the wolf is a voice in their head, has a different name than than the person, and can take control whenever they want, unless the person fights it off.

Vampires -- a being who subsists by feeding on the life essence (generally in the form of blood) of the living. They do not sparkle or burn in sunlight, but get blinded by it as their eyes are heightened more than the average human making them extremely sensitive to sunlight.

Reverse Vampires -- with their features appearing less sinister, they feed off of the blood of plants, love the daylight and morning hours, as their eyes are like a regular human's, and they are stronger than the average vampire (based on the intensity of the sun as only a small percent of their eyes are heightened).

Trolls -- a mythical, cave-dwelling being depicted in Folklore as either a giant or a dwarf, typically having a very ugly appearance.

Dragons -- mythical monster, like a giant reptile, that usually breathes fire and tend  to symbolize chaos or evil. Some, however, breathe other things like frost, poison, ice, water, etc.

If a ghost is not put to rest  or cannot move on of their own accord, they will eventually become vengeful spirits, poltergeists, or a subclass of vengeful spirits known as spectres.

Reapers -- are a type of divine supernatural beings that work for Death, though their physiology appears to be different to regular angels, as they do not require a vessel to manifest. Dealers assist spirits in moving on from the Mortal Realm when they die, maintaining the natural order of Life and Death. They're typically neutral, however, they can become rouge and offer their services for a price.

Fairies -- are incredibly powerful beings that come in various shapes and sizes and originate from a realm separate to ours called the 'Fairy Kingdom' in which is ruled by the fairy king, Harlequin.
