Remus let out a strained breath....he knew Sirius would eventually come around but still Remus felt remorseful. He hated when his friend was disgruntled, he always felt at fault in some small way.

"Don't worry, Remus." Tonks consoled. "Sirius'll come 'round, you'll see."

Remus just nodded absent-mindedly.

"Yes, I'm sure Sirius will come around," Snape scorned.

"Yes I'm sure he will," Remus replied coolly. "If you will all excuse me." He rose from his chair slowly, steadying himself with the table. With a grunt Remus staggered to the doorway, limping with each step. He left the dining room, closing the door on his way out.

Painstakingly he made his way up the many stairs to Sirius' room..he knew he needed to talk to his friend. He refused to let the day start out on a bad note. These were dark times and if Sirius died tomorrow he didn't want their last conversation to be a fight.

As he approached Sirius' door he heard papers rustling in the room, and exasperated cries of frustration. Remus knocked quietly on Sirius' door and waited patiently for an answer. In the room he heard Sirius running around quickly, most likely hiding something before he answered the door.

After a few moments of loud bangings within the room, Sirius answered the door. His hair was a mess, ruffled at the top, telling Remus he was stressed. His clothes were wrinkled as well which also told Remus that he was tugging at his clothes. "Is now a bad time, Sirius?" Remus said, politely.

Sirius sighed, defeated. "Come on in, Remus."

Remus gave his friend a big smile, amusement glinting in his eyes, he knew his nonchalant, politeness would get Sirius to calm down. It always did. When he entered Sirius' room he wasn't surprised to find socks, shirts, and pants lying on the floor like a teenager lived in this room instead of a grown man. "Look, Sirius--"

"Don't apologize, Remus," Sirius cut in.  "I acted out of hand. You know me; impulsive and short tempered. It's the Black family tradition." he said with his elegant, smug smirk.

Remus let out a quiet chortle at his friend's response. "Hardly, Sirius...I'll see you downstairs, okay?"

"Alright Remus, I will. I just have to clean up a bit, then I'll be right down." Sirius smiled at him and then stepped forward and wrapped him in a hug. Pain shot through his body as Sirius clapped over his freshly bandaged wounds. Remus, refused to flinch or show any sort of pain. Instead, Remus clapped his friend on the back heartily and told him he would see him soon down in the dining room. When he turned to leave his friend's room he did his best to  walk as normally has he could, despite the extreme pain.

Eventually he made his way back down to the dining room without too much difficulty. "I'm sorry, everyone for earlier, for my..behavior," he said as he took his seat next to Tonks.

Nobody said anything, undoubtedly because no one knew what to say.

Remus was about to say something else but a voice interrupted him. "I'm not late, am I?" a smooth voice said merrily. Sirius was leaning in the doorway, in a way that was elegant that no one could ever dream of copying. He glanced over at Remus and gave him the slightest wink that told Remus that they were better than good.

Sirius took his seat beside Lupin and leaned back in his chair, "So what did we miss?" he asked unemotionally.

"Well, Sirius," Snape sneered. "You missed quite a bit while you and Remus were snogging up in your room."
