Payment is taken place in an alternate dimension. The time line of history is what I make it to be. I felt that each century had something to offer with the making of this book (maybe a little less in the revised version). I wanted more emphasis on the relationships and drama than on where and when this all takes place. The freedom of writing is why I started this anyways.
