No Pulse

Doctor- family of Gabriela dawson?

Casey- I am her boyfriend.

Doctor- She has a concussion, broken leg, her neck is broken, and a cracked skull. Was her helmet off when you found her?

Severide- Yes, it was. We didn't find it.

Doctor- That is what I suspected. When she got thrown off the building, her helmet strap most likely came apart and flew off her head which made her have a cracked skull. However, I don't think she will be able to be a firefighter any longer. She will have major problems with her head if something happens to it again. Would you like to go see her?

An hour later

Nurse- Code blue!!

Casey- What is going on with Gabby?

Nurse- She is seizing.

Doctor- Mr. casey, I need you to step out.

When seizing stopped

Doctor- Get her to the CT scan.

15 minutes later in the waiting room

Doctor- Mr. casey, she is fine. However, she is in surgery. She has an epidural hematoma.

Casey is crying

Casey- This is my fault she is hurt. Damn it- 

Cheif- Casey, this is not your fault.

A day later.

Gabby- Hey babe.

Casey- Hey, how are you doing?

Gabby- I have been better. Where is Antonio?

Casey-  He is undercover right now. We can't reach him, but he hopes you get better.

Gabby- Can I see Shay and Cheif?

Casey- Sure. 

Gabby- Hey. 

Shay- You had me scared girl!

Gabby- I know. I know. I am sorry.

Chief- Donna says get well soon. She would come but she is on bed rest.

Casey- Hey, Gabs. I will be right back. I love you so much.

Gabby- I love you much more.

Shay- How has it been going between you two? 

Gabby- Great. I am so glad you two are here.

Chief- Gabby, we have something to tell you.

Shay- 2 things actually.

Gabby- Okay?

Chief- You can't be a firefighter anymore.

Gabby- What? Why?

Chief- You have a cracked skull. Doctor said that where it's at, if you hit it again you could die. However, you can be a paramedic.

Shay- Also, I am pregnant.

Gabby- What? Oh my god Shay!

Shay- While you were in surgery, I asked Casey if I could use him as the father. I know you want to be a mother so bad.

Gabby- Really?

Shay- Yeah. We can both be mothers to the child. 

Gabby- You are my best friend, Shay.

Everyone else came in.

Hermann- Hey Gabs! Mouch and I bought you this little pet unicorn in the gift shop.

Gabby- Thank you.

Otis- How are you feeling?

Gabby- Much better.

Cruz- When will you be back at work?

Gabby- Whenever I am healed.

Casey- Hey babe. I am back.

Gabby- I'm glad. I love you all so much. I really wish I wasn't injured.

Shay- We love you too.

Gabby's heart rate starts going down to 0.

BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!

Doctor- Everybody out!

Casey- Gabby! Gabby!

Shay- No, no, no.

Doctor closes the door

Doctor- Start compressions, put an IV in her. Stop compressions. 

Nurse- No pulse.

Doctor- Start compressions... Stop.

Nurse- No pulse. 

Doctor- Get the defibilerator.

Doctor tears her gown off the put the pads on her.

Doctor- Shocking at 200. Clear!

Nurse- No pulse.

Doctor- Shocking at 400 jules. Clear!

Nurse- No pulse.

Doctor- Shocking at 450. Clear!

Outside the room

Shay- Casey, let's go back to the waiting area.

Casey- okay.

Inside Gabby's room

Nurse- No pulse. Doctor we need to call it.

Doctor- Anybody disagree?

Everyone shakes there head.

Doctor- Time of death 21:25.

Minutes later in the waiting room.

Casey- Doctor?

Before the doctor opens her mouth, Shay starts crying.

Doctor- I am very sorry.

Casey starts crying his eyes out.

Doctor- We tried everything we could do. I am very sorry.

All of a sudden Casey wakes up and screams.

Gabby- Hey, babe. What's wrong?

Casey- Oh uh... Just a nightmare. Sorry for waking you.

Gabby-It's fine.
