Another You, Another Universe

Troubling

So if they all work for the king, that means that this must be the time of kings and queens. I don't know what to make of it all, but I do know that I want to go home more than ever now because I might actually be in danger.

I'm awake way before Maximus is, but I don't know if I should really be out on the balcony of his home and I look out at the town that's not far from his house. Everyone seems to be busy and working. I sigh softly as I look down, noticing something on my right hand that wasn't there before and I shake a little. Why is there a strange marking on my hand that goes up my arm? I back away from the balcony, bumping right into someone and turn around to look at Maximus. He asks "is everything alright Destiny?" I look down at my hand again and I say "t-there is this mark." He lifts my right arm up and looks at the mark. He says "hmm this is interesting. Dustin and Zore should have a look at this." I nod as he leave me standing on the balcony alone and I stare at the mark, but I soon turn my attention to a whisper I'm hearing. The whisper says "come to us. Come to us. You will not survive if you stay here. Return to us." I cover my ears as I fall to my knees and I say "stop....Make it stop. Please make it stop." I close my eyes as I shake, keeping my ears covered and soon I feel someone touch my arms. I look to who it is and Dustin looks worried. I hug him because the voices and he ends up hugging me back. He says "it's alright Destiny. I have you and I'll make the voices go away." I shake in his arms, but soon I feel a tingling sensation go over my body and soon the voices are gone for the time being. Dustin lets go of me and I say "thank you." He says "not a problem. Now let us go to the others." I nod as I follow him down to the stairs and Zore says "there is the beautiful Destiny." I blush as I look away from him and Maximus says "Zore you better stop flirting and worry about the task at hand."

I walk over to where we are all supposed to be sitting and Dustin says "please show us the mark." I nod as I put my right arm on the table for them all to see and Zore says "this is bad guys." I frown as I look at them and Dustin asks "how long has it been there Maximus?" Maximus says "it just showed up today." I look at all of them and ask "will someone please tell me what it is?" Dustin says "Destiny I don't want to worry you, but someone at some point put this on you and I don't know when it might have been." I stare at him and I say "I don't remember anyone even coming here though and I know Maximus would have heard them." Zore says "not necessarily. There are beings called The Frons and they are tiny. They can make their way into homes and mark people for who knows what reason, but in your case we know why they marked you." I ask "why?" Dustin says "you're the chosen one and they want to let people know that. Whether that be good or bad. There are some people out there that would want you dead because you're the chosen one." My eyes widen as I say "what?!" Maximus says "calm down Destiny." I get up off the chair and I say "there is no way that I can be calm right now. There could be a group of people out there hunting me and this isn't even my own world." I back away from them as I shake my head, looking down at the floor as I feel the tears forming in my eyes and I sniffle. What am I going to do?

I feel someone gently touch my face and I look at them. Zore says "Destiny I know this is a lot to take in my dear, but you have all of us here with you. We're not going to let anyone hurt you. No matter what." I whisper "but you guys could get hurt." Zore wipes my tears away and puts his arm around my shoulder. Maximus says "we're sworn to protect people Destiny and with you being the chosen one, well you're our top priority." I look at him and then Dustin says "we will not let anyone harm you. It is our job to protect you." I nod as I look at them all and I say "thank you. All of you. I really appreciate it. I just wish I could get home or that I never would have gotten thrown into the portal." I sigh as I get Zore's arm off of my shoulder and turn away from them. Maximus asks "where are you going?" I say "I'm going back to the bedroom. I need to lay down." They all nod and I walk up the stairs to the bedroom that I was sleeping in earlier. I look around the room and something doesn't feel right. I slowly walk to the bed and stop halfway there when I feel someone behind me. The person says "my my, aren't you a cute one. To think that you're the chosen one." I swallow hard as I stand there, feeling really scared at this man's sound and I say "please leave me alone." The man says "I think not pretty. I will get what I came for." I turn around, but he's gone and I back up to the bed. He reappears and I fall onto the bed. I look up at him as he covers my mouth and says "I want that soul of yours pretty. If I kill you, then they can't save the world from me." I start to panic as I see his hand that is claws and I struggle with him.

No no no. This can't be happening. I don't want to die and I keep trying to get away from this man. I feel more tears starting to form in my eyes and I soon close them when I see him move his hand closer to me, but nothing happens. I open my eyes and I blush as I look up at Dustin. Maximus and Zore are standing in front of us. Maximus says "you have a lot of nerve coming here Torisin." Torisin smirks at all of us and says "I came for the girl. I want that soul that she has. Then you won't be able to stop my evil plan." I shiver as I soon grip onto Dustin's robe and he holds me closer to him. Zore says "you're not getting anything from Destiny. She's under our protection." Torisin laughs and says "I see. Well I will return and when I do, you will all perish." I hide my face when he disappears and Dustin asks "are you alright?" I look up at him and say "yes I'm fine. Just a bit shook up. Um could you guys all stay in the room with me?" Maximus says "we will." I smile as Dustin lets go of me and I walk over to the bed, sitting down on it.

They're all so sweet and protective of me. Sure that Torisin guy scared the shit out of me, but luckily the guys saved me before it was too late. I really didn't want to die and they rescued me. I really appreciate them saving me.
