Chapter 7 - Challenge

When I returned back to the table food was there. Ashley was already done eating and so was mostly everyone else. I finished my food rather quickly. I think the boys knew all to well what was about to happen. But then I froze, the original plan Jasper and I made would have to change. The second Ashley laid her head on my shoulder, threw her legs over mine, and got really close to me at the table made every decision I was about to make ten times harder, and made me realize a new plan would have to be made and ASAP. It was probably about 10:30 now and when I went to get up Ashley stopped me and told me not yet. Hot Cocoa was brought to the table. Ashley grabbed her cup and stayed curled up to me. She kept shifting closer and closer, that's when I noticed something. The bruise forming on her face. I wasn't gone that long was I, twenty maybe thirty minutes. Does she feel safe around me? I glanced and noticed Kayla and Jasper weren't at the table. I texted her.

Justin: Ashley Where's Kayla & Jasper?

Ashley: They left after they finished eating.

Justin: You were here alone?

Ashley: X and Caden were here.

Justin: But Kayla and Jasper left?

Ashley: Yes.

Ashley finished her hot cocoa and we left. I then texted X.

Jason: What the fuck happened to her face?

X: Boss what are you talking about?

Jason: She has a bruise forming on her face, she didn't think I heard her, but she moved her head and hissed. I waited a minute and then glanced over. There's a bruise forming on her face!

X: Boss I swear we haven't moved or done nothin since you've stepped away. A did get up and go to the restroom, but that was all.

Jason: Did one of those guys follow her!?

X: No Boss, we didn't see anyone. We kept an eye on her.

Jason: Better be the fucking truth!

X: Boss , would I lie?

Jason: We're done for now.

X didn't see anything, what about Caden.

Jason: Caden what the fuck happened to Ashley's face?!

Caden: Boss what do you mean what happened? What is wrong with her face?

Jason: There's a fucking bruise forming!

Caden: I swear boss I didn't do anything, neither did X, She got up went to the bathroom, we made sure no one followed her, and that was it. She returned slightly upset, but shrugged it off.

Jason: Alright.

"Princess, you ready to go" , I asked her.

She only nodded her head. We loaded back up in her truck and left. Once we got back to the house it was around midnight. Caden and X went up to the study, while I stayed and waited for Ashley. She walked into the house slowly.

"Ashley, everything okay" , I asked her?

She looked at me and then shook her head no. She pulled out a glock 40 and started slowly walking towards a door, she said to never enter, but it's open. I freaked at first and almost pulled out mine, but I realized she knew what she was doing. When I went to walk behind her, as one of my right hand men would do, she said no, stay. Oh baby if you only knew. But I listened, I waited. She walked in and her scream was horrifying. I went to walk in, but kayla was running down the stairs faster than lightening, a gun in her hand (Author here, if you have ever seen legally blonde, the first one and she has her case and she says a gun in her hand, that's how I read it, as if it's Elle Woods saying it) and flying to the room Ashley was in. She shut the door immediately and I heard the door lock.
