Take Me As I Am (Darry Scorbus fanfic)

CHAPTER ONE - Potter

HARRY POV.

"What in Godric's name?" I froze in my door way as my son's best friend and his father stood at my doorstep.

"M-Malfoy?" My voice shook a little as I almost whispered the name I hadnt said in over twenty years.

His eyes widen before his brows furrowed.
"Potter!?" he almost spat that made me instictively roll my eyes. After twenty years and he was still a git.

"SCORBIUS!!" I heard my son, Albus all but squeal before he pushed passed me to fly into the other teens arms.

"Albus! Manners!!" I growled low which earned a small snicker from Draco.

"Oh, sorry dad" Albus pulled himself away as my eyes returned back to Draco's. They remained as piercing as when they were young.

"Scorp, this is my dad, Harry Potter" he said proudly that had my heart fill with pride.

"THE HARRY POTTER?" Malfoys boy gasped.

"The one and only" James chimed in as he hugged me from behind before resting his head on my shoulder. I roll my eyes at his statement before hearing Draco scoff.

"Still living high under your glory, Potter?" he gave a crooked smile

"Oh shove off, Malfoy" I said teasingly that had him and me laughing.

"DAD YOU KNOW HARRY FLIPPING POTTER?" his son whos hair resembled that of draco's school years, gasped again.

"We went to Hogwarts together. Ah but forgive my rudeness, please come in" I quickly said as i stepped aside

"I prefer not to. I'll pick you up before taking you to your mothers, so be ready." Draco turned back before holding out his hand to Albus.

"Draco Malfoy. Its a pleasure to finally meet you. Please take care of my son" he dropped his hand before turning back to me.

"I would say it was a pleasure seeing you again, Potter but I dont want to lie infront of the children" And just like that, he became the Draco I despised back in school.

"Sure, I understand" I sighed, deciding not to resort to argueing with my sons best friends father.

"Than good day, Potter" he bowed his head before apparating away. Bloody git! Why of all people did he have to be his father, tsk!

"Scorp come in!!" Albus dragged him through the threshold as James came around to my front.

"Dad, Scorp and I are going upstairs" Albus called as he took two stairs at a time.

"Pa? You two seemed well acquainted" James piped in.

"We did?" I asked surprised.

"Yup. Not in a good way, I'm guessing" he looked intrigued. As always when he wanted gossip.

I sat in my chair before releasing a sigh.
"We were in the same year. Different houses. Opposit sides of the war." Memories flooded back but I shook my head to clear it.

I never liked thinking of it. Back than. Twenty or so years ago when Hogwarts was made a battle field for the second wizarding war.

"We were enemies, or rivals" I continued as James sat opposit me, the roaring fire blazing a warm hue through the room.

"Nice!" James eyes lit up and I snickered. "Did yous ever fight?" he asked.

I nodded. "Almost all the time. I-- I almost killed him once" I saddened remembering when i'd used one of Professor Snape's curses on him, blood pooling around him as I paniked within.

"But-- I also saved him back in our seventh year" I left out details. He didnt need them.

"OHMYGODDAD!!" he shook me as the boys returned. "Thats so juicy!! Tell me more!" James smile was as wide as they come. I couldnt help but smile back.

"I think I've said too much" I said looking at a dropped jawed Albus and a teary Scorpius.

"D-dad, youre kidding right? Enemies with, Mr. Malfoy? Almost killing him? T-thats a lie right?" he almost shook as Scorpius blinked his tears away before looking at Albus.

"Al--?" I began before he shook his head

"D-dad, you cant. YOU CANT BE ENEMIES WITH MY BEST FRIENDS DAD! I WONT ALLOW IT! WHAT IF I CANT BE FRIENDS WITH SCOR--" he yelled before Scorpius cut in.

"Al, stop!" he snapped and albus did just that.

"We'll always be together bud. Youre my best friend. How would I surviv without you Al?" Scorpius soothed, making me relax.

"Al, go up stairs and calm down. It was all in the past so theres nothing to worry about" Id stood to walk up to him.

"Even if we find we still hate eachother, I'll never stop yu from seeing Scorpius." I say softly.

"K-kay" he took a breath before Scorpius lead him back to his room.

And thats when it hit me, my son is in love with his best friend.
