After a swift plane ride in first class, I had returned to Miami. I missed the humid air on my skin. But not the heat that was beating down on me. The palm trees waved in the breeze as if the were greeting me. Welcoming the king.

Mike waited outside the airport with his car to greet me, "Good, to see you, old buddy. Long time, no see."

"That was the best time. I miss that time," I joked

"You came just in time, my man. I've got a deal that's about to go down," he told me.

"Are you seriously going out with a price on your head?" I asked.

"Yeah, I still have business to take care of. And I can't bitch out when ever completion tries to put me down. I'll take care of business while you protect me."

"Alright, it's your life."

"These new dealers came here trying to run shit, but they're about to learn that I'm the goddamn kingpin here," Mike boasted.

"You're not a kingpin your a dealer that's it. A kingpin needs people who are willing to do anything for him."

"That's where you come in."

"Are you saying I'm your henchmen?" I question.

"No, I'm saying you're my body guard."

"Only as long as you're paying."

While Mike and I were talking, Max and Oscar were in their hotel room. Presidential suite. A champagne sat at on a table. Clothes were strewn about the floor. Max and Oscar lied on the bed next to each other as sunlight pierced through the curtains.

"I miss Miami," Max admitted.

"Good, because I've planned for us to take the most romantic trip around town," Oscar told her.

"Do we have time? Don't you have a job to do?"

"Yeah, but that's later."

"So, what do you have planned?" Max asked.

"Well, first we're going to a five star restaurant. Afterwards we're going to the beach for a walk in the sand. Then we will circle back here for some alone time."

"I like it. And I love you," she confessed before she kissed him.

A few hours later, Mike and I held up outside of a department store, which Mike used as a front for his illegal misadventures. We waited patiently in the loading area for his clients.

"Where the hell are they?" I asked Mike through an earpiece.

"Jesus, you are one impatient son of a bitch, aren't you?" Mike commented.

"We've been out here for hours!"

"It's been twelve minutes and we got here ten minutes early."

"Punctuality is very important."

"Quiet. They're here."

A car drove into the loading area. It's headlights shed light on the dark. Mike's shadow appeared on the wall behind him. It was towering over like a guardian. I stalked over the area with a silenced sniper rifle. Nothing. But after a few minutes, I saw movement along the roof of the store. I keyed in on the motion and saw Oscar creeping around.

"Oh, I'm going to enjoy this more than I should," I said.

I steadied my crosshairs on his heart as my finger lingered on the trigger. And with a quick, quiet shot, Oscar was down. Knowing he wouldn't stay down for long, I rushed towards his body. Trying to avoid interrupting Mike.
