No one said a thing as we waited in the streets of Seattle for the aliens to begin their attack. Abandoned cars flooded the streets. There was only an ambiance. The wind rushing by, the sound of leaves slamming against each other. The mechanical clicks of locking a magazine into a rifle. I broke the silence with a quip.
"Holy shit! We are totally ripping off the first Avengers movie," I noticed.
"What are you talking about?" Jason asked.
"A team of heroes come together to stop aliens from attacking a major city. A powerful demigod we've yet seen in action is behind it all. Hell, we even have a Hawkeye and four Iron men. Not even four of those fuckers are close to Robert Downey Jr., not at all."
"Who is that?"
"I'll tell you about him after today. If you live."
Some of their ships begin to touch down as everyone finished gearing up. I wanted to talk to Max before shit went down.
"Hey Max," I greeted.
"Fuck off, Dad. I don't want to talk to you. Oscar told me what you did," Max said.
"I'm sorry about that alright. I shouldn't have don't it. But you should look at it from my point of view."
"I don't care if you're sorry or for your point of view. You never wanted me and Oscar together. You kept him away from Jason. I don't want you around anymore."
"Max, don't say that."
"Just leave me alone, Dad," Max said as she held back tears.
"I love you too," I told her.
The fight began once the aliens exited their ships. Thousands were in the air and thousands more were on the ground. Getting rid of them all would be difficult. Cleaning up the mess will probably be much worse.
"Everyone put in your earpieces so we can stay communicated," I told them. " Here's the plan. Metal heads, you control the air," I ordered.
"You don't tell me what to do!" George said.
"Let's take to the air," Joe told him.
"Copy that," George replied as they all began to take off.
"Alright, divide and conquer. Marksman, Bullseye, Slash, and Knuckles. You take the left. Max, Jason, and I will stay in the center. Tess, Serena, and Argo, protect the right. Oscar, stay the fuck away from my daughter! I want everyone to try their best to not die. But if you do, please do so in the most dramatic fashion," I said.
The aliens ran at us as they fired their weapons. Their guns shot balls of blue energy. I took most of the damage and shrugged off the pain as I got closer to them. I hammered down by sword into one of their skulls. As its friend began to focus its attention on me, I put two bullets in its eyes. I kicked another into the path of one of David's arrows. It exploded and shot its insides out of its body.
I felt a hand on my shoulder right before I was thrown into a nearby car. I hopped to my feet and kicked the alien in the leg to bring him down on its knee. I slammed its head on the hilt of my sword that was still lodged into its friend's skull. Then I grabbed the sword to slice through its neck.
I jammed my sword into the throat of another alien and used it's body to shield myself from the fire from the others. I returned fire with my pistol taking a few of them down. Just as the clip was emptied, an alien charged at me. I stabbed it with the end of my blade that stuck out of the body, creating sort of an extra terrestrial kebab. The alien screamed in pain as the blade pierced its shoulder. I brought it the ground and fired a bullet through the skull of the first one to bring its life to an end.
