I sat on my bed in my room at the days inn. I saw head lights pass through the window. Just after I hear a knock on the door.
" Rose?" Dimitri calls. I let him in and sat down again. He came over to hug me and I put my hand up to signal no. Then I point to the chair across the room.
He sits down. We are silent for a minute. Then I ask him "Why?" He replies with a "Why what?"
I ask again. "Why were you late?" He sits there confused. Then a look of realization crosses his face. He stutters out. "T-Tasha. She wouldn't let me leave with out seeing the ultrasound."
I ask "What did it say?" He relied in a whisper with one word. "Pregnant"
