WELCOME TO CHAPTER 4 THANKS FOR READING!!

Chapter 4

Its been two days since the celebration and you were currently cleaning the front desk waiting for customers it had been a quiet day only two or three customers who asked for bread and left. You had one customer sitting with a newspaper in his hands, he had ordered a muffin and some coffee. Nothing but an ordinary man enjoying the Thursday paper. Maybe a collage student? Doesn't matter you pulled out the broom and started sweeping the floor behind the desk it needed to be done in the first place.

You crouched under the desk and started cleaning the dust on the shelves you could see a dust bunny in the back but couldn't quite reach it.
"Damn. I'll get it last..." you mumbled and continued to clean getting one or two customers who ordered and sat down as you went to the back and told Marco what they wanted. Suddenly a blond haired girl with her hair pulled into a bun walked into the kitchen.
"Who's the new girl?" she asked and you introduced yourself bowing gently in greeting.
"I'm [y/n] [l/n] I'll be working with you from now on and you are?"
she looked you up and down and then nodded as if approving you.
"Annie Leonhart... Pleasure." she talked glumly, gruffly.
"I share in the pleasure Annie." she nodded and got to work.

Marco tapped your shoulder and handed you the order you asked for and you walked out and served it to the customers. This slow day was getting a little boring but you walked back behind the desk and crouched continuing the cleaning. You finished and in a couple minutes, it is a large counter... you decided to get that dust bunny now.

"Prepare dust bunny, you are about to meet your doom!" you giggled to yourself and leaned into the desk trying to reach the ball of dirt and when you caught it a person had walked up, you haden't even noticed his footsteps let alone hear him come in the door. you heard the ding of the bell above you and you jumped hitting your head on the roof of the desk.
"EEK!" you cursed in a different language out of spite
You noticed The dust bunny escaped out of your cloth when you hit your head.
"AH! No you don't you stupid dust bunny!"
you caught it again and climbed out of the desk holding your now sore head looking at your dusty cloth in triumph and you threw the cloth away before smiling at the person at the desk.

"Sorry for the wait sir. What would you like to order?" you said to the- holy crap. This guy.. he was handsom A-and short? but wow. He was frowning but you could tell how he wasn't breathing and he was quite stiff that he was holding in laughter from your little incident. You looked at him a little more closely and he had short, straight black hair styled in an undercut, as well as narrow, intimidating gray eyes with dark circles under them and a deceptively youthful face. He stood about 5'2'' but you were 6'5'' so there was only a small difference in height. Soon he seemed to regain his composure and he spoke. His voice was deep and gruff.
"ah yes um Black tea and scones I guess."
he had a natural frown and he looked slightly annoyed to be here but you just bowed gently.
"Coming right up you may take a seat were ever you would feel fit to sit."
he nodded briefly and took a seat in a high chair which made you scoff quietly.

You walked into the back and asked Eren, who was best at making tea, to make the black tea and Sasha to make the scones. When they were done you took up a tray and put the order on it taking it to the man placing the tea down his eyes lit up and he took a sip, when you set the cones down you heard Jean call you as he stood behind the desk at your post.
"Yo, [y/n]!"
you turned your attention away from the man after setting the food down.
"Yeah Jean?"
You walked over to Jean looking at him curiously.
"Hanji wants to see you. In her office."
you looked at him in surprise. Then giggled.
"I hope I haven't done anything wrong!"
"nah! When she asked for you she seemed more excited than mad."
"Great! I'll go now!"
Jean nodded and took up your shift for the time being.
