Chapter 14 - Loss of a Friend

Minx's POV

I hear a gunshot and a body falling on the sand.

It's Zoots.

I feel the tears coming and I let them out. "NO! Zoots!" I say tears streaming down my face. I fall to the ground my face in my hands.

"M-Minx......R-R-Red...." A weak voice says. I look up and see Zoots trying to talk. I dart over to her and Red follows. "Zoots, stay with us, you'll be okay!" I say putting her head in my lap. "I-I let Cry s-shoot me...I don't want to live in this world if he takes over...." She says coughing up some blood. "N-No, Zoots don't leave us." Red says tears rushing down her face. "P-Promise me one thing.......k-kill C-Cry and D-Dawn...." She says her voice extremely weak. "Okay, we promise" Red and I say. She smiles and closes her eyes. Then her body goes limp.

"Z-Zoots? ZOOTS?!" I say shaking her. "M-Minx? W-We have to go, we can bury her if you would like?" Riley asks sadly. "O-Okay, we should bury her though..." I trail off as I wipe my tears. I slowly move her head off my lap and gently on to the ground.

"G-Guys! Jason got shot with an arrow! He's losing a lot of blood!" Musical says worry in her voice. "I'll see you again Zoots.." I say kissing her forehead and leaving her body. I get up and walk over to where the small boy lay. He had an arrow in his shoulder and there was a lot of blood on the ground, his blood.

"There's a hospital not too far from here, we can take him there." Red says pointing in the direction of the hospital. "Let's go!" Musical says tears welling in her eyes. "It's right over there. See the red cross? That's it." Red says directing them. "Okay, let's go!" Alex says pulling my arm. "We can't come." I say looking down. "What? Why?" Ian asks. "We have unfinished business with Cry, they took my life away once, it's time I take his." I say thinking about when he took my soul away. "Okay, but stay safe." Sky says walking towards Red and I. "We will. Now go, they'll find you." Red says pushing them gently away. They walk away, and are gone.

Time for payback...
