Chapter 10: Spreading our Wings

" yeah sorry.. my name is Samantha Baker and I'm calling to talk to you about a position as a Victoria Secret Angel, we have seen much of your work and want to offer you a spot on the team?"

My face drops and I become speechless... I have always wanted to become a Victorias Secret Model ever since I got into modeling, that was always my end goal and now I have been offered a spot....

Justin looks at me worriedly because I have become choked up, and he doesn't know who i am talking to and what about

" Paige...Paige... are you okay?" Justin says with a worried face

I hold up a finger at him to signal I am okay and to wait a second

" uhhmm Mrs. Baker?"

" Yes...?"

" I would love to!"

I hang up the phone quickly after saying my goodbyes and thank you's to Samantha Baker, I turn my body slowly and look Justin in the eyes.

He looks worried but I slowly crack a smile

" Justin what was it that I have been wanting for like YEARS now???"He looks at me with a dumbfound look

" what a puppy?"

" no justin.. THINK what have I been wanting to do all my life with modeling?"

After I said that his confused face quickly turns into a huge smile that I live for, he scoops me up and spins me in the air

" PAIGE OMG I AM SOO PROUD OF YOU!!!! THIS IS HUGE!"

I giggle at how excited he got

" I leave tomorrow to Miami for two weeks to go and talk to them officially and hopefully come up with a plan for my future career as a victorias secret model!"

As soon as I said that I feel as if he became said and I am not sure why he would react this way...

" Thats great Paige, you have no clue how proud I am of you. I am getting tired lets head home.." He respond slowly and with a hint of sadness in his voice and walks to the car

I grab my purse and start walking to the car where Justin is in the drivers seat buckled up and car started ready to go

" Justin.. whats wrong?"

" Nothing.. don't worry" He responds looking at me and plastering a fake smile on his face

" Justin I know you too well whats going on.. why are you so upset? I thought you would be more excited for me"

I look out the window beginning to feel tears in my eyes already but try to hold everything in until I get home

He pulls the car over and puts it in park, he turns his whole body towards me

" uhh.. Paige I am too incredibly proud of you.. Really I am, you have been working and waiting for this day for too long, and you finally have the chance to do what you have been wanting to do for so long. But I did not want to say anything but Scooter texted me this morning saying that he scheduled a few extra shows onto the beginning of the first leg of the tour and that means that I have to leave in two days. And with you going to miami and working on your career I have a year of mine ahead of me.. "

I whipped my head around so fast just in time to see a tear escape his beautiful hazel eyes

I couldn't believe what I was hearing... he was leaving me.. but I was also leaving him... We are spreading our wings and flying away
