Luke cringed at the smell of alcohol on the stranger's breath. The small blond slowly opened his eyes, looking up at the one and only, Vic Fuentes.
"Fuck off, Fuentes," Luke loudly whispered, trying his best to push the taller boy away.
"Oh, so you don't miss me, princess?" Vic cockily whispered, emphasizing on the petname.
"My boyfriend is here, he's gonna start looking for me.." Luke mumbled, pushing past Vic.
"So now you don't want me, slut?" Vic asked as he aggressively pushed Luke into the nearest wall. Luke winced as his back collided with the wall.
"Fuck off," Luke mumbled louder, walking back towards Ashton.
"See you soon!" Vic snarled, leaving the cafè and descending onto the dark morning streets.
Luke made his way back to the table, apologizing to his boyfriend, saying there was a long line at the bathrooms. "Its okay, baby." Ash assured him, while softly rubbing his knee. "C'mon Luke, we don't wanna be late."
The two boys walked out of the cafè, hand in hand. The sun still hadn't risen, so the only lights outside were the dimly lit streetlamps. The couple walked past a group of people, who were obviously smoking. Luke knew that Vic was in that group, getting high, he always smoked around Luke when they were together. Luke tightly gripped Ashton's hand as they walked past the group. He thought they were clear until he heard the familiar voice,
"Hey Hemmings!"
"Uh, hey," Luke mumbled on the verge of tears, as the rest of the group laughed.
Ash asked who they were, after they were farther ahead. Luke explained that it was just some guys from school and that his daddy shouldn't worry. Ashton rubbed the back of Luke's hand with his thumb, while whispering to Luke how cute he was. Luke felt safe until 'like I said, see you soon' flashed across his phone screen.
