Patherlily avoided the many legs of the people of Magnolia as he made his way across town. He was used to the strange looks he got from the people. The people of Fiore were not as used to the exceeds as the people of earth land. But, none of that really mattered to him. He was happy in Fiore, at Fairytail with his energetic family.
Gajeel was currently practicing his guitar skills and although Patherlily supports his friend's passions, his ears didn't agree with his friend's voice. Kiwi's helped numb the pain but he managed, somehow, to eat the twenty he did have in the cupboard.
So, as well as needed Kiwis, he suddenly had a perfect excuse to leave. Smiling to himself. Patherlily dreamed about the Kiwis he could buy. He bought so many that he and the vendor had a deal, one that saved Patherlily a lot of money.
Only, when Patherlily got to the stall, he froze on the spot. Fruit was everywhere. The stall broken and smashed. What really crushed Pantherlily's spirit on this lovely afternoon in Magnolia, was the sight of a squashed kiwi on the path in front of him
Running up to the stall, Pantherlily quickly spotted the vendor. He was talking to some rune Knights, but he was finished just as Pantherlily reached them. Throwing his arms in the air exasperated, the owner turned to faced lily, a grim smile crossing his face.
"Pantherlily," he sighed, Pantherlily nodded in acknowledgement to his name, "I'm sorry to tell you this, you of all people, but I'm not selling today."
Pantherlily surveyed his surroundings, "can I just pick up some Kiwi's and pay you tomorrow?" He asked.
The man ran his hands down his face, and he tried to look anywhere but the exceed, "we're out of Kiwi's."
Pantherlily's blood ran cold, "out. Of. Kiwi's." It wasn't so much that he was angry. Pantherlily began to wonder, for a few short moments, how he was going to live his life without kiwi's.
"-I'm sorry Pantherlily," the vendor apologised, breaking lily's chain of thought, "the thief stole all my money and all my kiwi's."
That was all Pantherlily needed to hear however. He quickly transformed into his fighting form, a new meaning to his life, "I will find your kiwi's!" He announced, raising his overly large sword into the air.
The vendor coughed, "what about my money?"
Pantherlily sweat dropped, and lowered his sword to the ground slightly, "right. The money, that's just as important as the kiwi's. It is your livelihood after all." Summoning his winds and spreading them wide, Pantherlily took to the skies in search of the kiwi's, oh and of course the money, he definitely didn't forget about the money.
Pantherlily, had taken to the skies a few short seconds before he realised he never asked the vendor anything. It was then he quickly realised he had never even asked to vendor his name before. All those years of buying kiwi's, and he never even bothered to learn the man's name. That would have to change when he got back after finding the kiwi's and the money.
So Pantherlily, had to fly through the skies without any knowledge as to who he was searching for. His form was rather imposing and he drew the attention of many eyes below. He just needed to find a clue. Something to follow.
It was then he spotted it. One of his fury friends, rolling along the pavement. A kiwi. Swooping down, Pantherlily landed loudly, and picked the fruit off the ground. It was bruised from rolling around the ground. And, dramatically, Pantherlily cradled the fruit in his hands.
