Goken woke up in a daze. It was a foggy morning. He looked up. Across from him sat one of the soldiers with the bear shield. He looked to his right and saw two more people: one was wearing tattered rags and the other looked as if he was a king of some kind, but he had a rag tied in front of his mouth. "Hey you. You're finally awake." Goken turned to the soldier, who was now staring at him intensely. "You walked right into that Imperial ambush, same as us, and that thief." Goken turned. The man in the tattered rags grimaced and spoke."Damn you Stormcloaks. Skyrim was fine until you came along. Empire was nice and lazy. If they hadn't been looking for you, I could've stolen that horse and been halfway to Hammerfell." He turned to address Goken. "You and me, we shouldn't be here. It's these Stormcloaks the Empire wants." The soldier spoke up. "We're all brothers and sisters in binds now, thief." The thief turned to the other man. "What's wrong with him, huh?" "Watch your tongue!'" the soldier snapped. "You're speaking to Ulfric Stormcloak, the true High King!" The soldiers face sank. "Ulfric? The Jarl of Windhelm? You're the leader of the rebellion! So if they've captured you... Oh Gods, where are they taking us?"
The soldier turned away and looked down the road. "I don't know where we're going; but Sovngarde awaits." A village came into view. The gates opened for the carts and they passed through. Goken looked around at the faces staring at them. "This is Helgen," the soldier said softly. " I used to be sweet on a girl from here. I wonder if Vilod is still making that mead with juniper berries mixed in."
The carts came to a stop by a wall and Goken looked ahead of him. A priest walked into the courtyard, along with another figure: a large man with a black cowl holding a large axe. " Why are we stopping?" The thief looked worried. " Why do you think?" said the soldier. " End of the line." He turned to Goken. "Let's go. Shouldn't keep the Gods waiting for us." They got up and proceeded to exit the carriage.
