I turned around grabbing my axe harder. My body switched to fight mode in a matter of seconds. The yelling was ringing through my ears and my heart started to beat anxiously. I ran towards the screams ready to protect my group from whatever was threatening us. My other hand was ready to grab the gun from my belt at any moment. I came closer to the screaming voices insulting each other. They were not screaming for their lives, they were not screaming for help and they were not screaming because of walkers. Those two morons were fighting. Again. My adrenaline rush slowed down a bit as there were no walkers around. Daryl and Shane were both starting to get physical with each other and I started to run towards them dropping my axe to the ground. Daryl had punched Shane in the face who in response jumped on him and both fell to the ground. Shane was on top of Daryl hitting him on the face and then he pushed Shane off. They had now switched places and Shane received the punches. I ran faster and jumped right in to stop the fight. I grabbed Daryl's arms from behind but I still struggled to stop him so I threw myself on top of him from the side freeing Shane. Rick arrived and made sure that Shane didn't go back into the fight holding him back while I tried to calm Daryl down. I stood up and gave Daryl a helping hand to get up but he didn't look at me, he still glared at Shane hatefully.

"Hey! Eyes on me. I don't want you to look at him." I said trying to make him think about something else. When he didn't do as I told him too I grabbed his face and turned it to me. He grunted in response. "Forget him." I looked into his blue eyes.

"What the hell was that about?" Rick raised his voice as a group of people gathered around us to watch.

"You wanna tell 'em, huh?" Daryl raged. "Wanna tell 'em how you didn't do shit for Sophia and yet you call me selfish? Wanna tell 'em that you are a disgusting little piece of shit and talk about women behind their back?" He was closing in on Shane again so I grabbed his arm to stop him. He turned around to face me. "Don't you want to know what he said about you?" He said pushing me with his index finger on my chest. "Son of a bitch." He mumbled to Shane before walking off to the forest.

Shane stood quietly receiving stares from the people that had gathered around. Not a word came out of his mouth trying to explain himself. People started to go back to work while Rick and I stayed behind. The man with the sheriff hat walked towards Shane and he nodded at me telling me that he had control over the situation. I nodded back and walked off as Rick and Shane went for a talk. I entered the kitchen, took a glass of water and sat down beside Lori.

"And they call women dramatic..." I said taking a sip of my water.

"I know, right?" Lori said. "Did you get hurt? I saw how you jumped right into fight."

"No. I don't think so." I said as I looked down at my now dirty outfit. "But I definitely need to change these clothes."

"Hopefully those two will calm down for a bit. Otherwise, you'll need a lot more of sets of change of clothing than that!" Lori grinned jokingly. There was a small pause.

"Lori, you know Shane, right?" I asked.

"Yes. He was Ricks partner at work back in the day. Good old friend." She said. "Why?"

"I'm just thinking..." I let a deep breath out. "When we were out there Daryl said that he talked about women behind their back. Then he asked if I wanted to know what he had said about me." Lori shrugged and shook her head.

"Rick knows him better than I ever did. They were best friends back in the day. I have no idea what he could have said about you."

A light knock was placed on the door even though it was open. Carol stood there with a worried expression on her face.

"You know how Daryl is doing?" She asked as she pulled a chair out.

"Looked pretty angry to me. Walked off to the woods and he ain't probably coming back before sunset." I said.
