"Then, do me a favor." The black figure said.

August took a second deciding as he looked at his hands. He looked back at those glowing eyes and said:

"I'll do it."

"Very well." The black figure said as he untied August.

"Go to your home and in one week, meet me at the kitchen of the William's lake house. I'll send you a message that will let you know its me." It said, turning around and walking away until August spoke.

"What about my friends?" August asked as he stood up.

"As long as you cooperate and do as I say," said the black figure, "they'll be fine."

"Ok." August responded, wondering about the words it said.

Do as I say.

He quickly thought about his superiors, telling him what to do. August snapped out of his thoughts when the black figure spoke.

"Now, go to the place you last saw Killian and Charlotte, they'll be waiting for you."

Those were the final words the black figure said, and watched as August ran with a trail of blood.

It smiled mischievously and disappeared, once again.

Killian was still in the Lake House, hiding, afraid of the black figure that would trap him. He was in the main bedroom, flashing his flashlight flash off and on.

As he was once again going to turn on the flashlight, when the window from the other side of the big bedroom suddenly opened.

Killian looked at the window, and felt a strange presence near him. A breath that smelled like a dead rat was heard, and it was quite heavy.

Killian realized who it was, and carefully looked back to see a black figure.

But this wasn't the one we all know, it was like an old man with class. Weak, tired of life, wise, and observant.

"W-Who are you?" Killian spoke.

"I am one of the spirits that lives in this lake house, how about you? Hmm?"

No answer from Killian.

"Answer me boy! I have no time for your silence." Said the spirit, impatiently.

"I am Killian, I'm looking for my friends." He answered in a low whisper.

"Well, Killian, your friends were captured, and one of them, the boy, was set free. The one who captured them is haunting the one who is related to the cursed William's family." The spirit said.

A short pause and then, Killian spoke.

"Why are you telling me this? How do you know all of this?"

Killian watched as the spirit looked beyond the window and sighed.

"It's... a promise I made to my daughter, a few decades ago, before she... died." It whispered the last part.

"May I ask, what's her name?" Killian asked.

The spirit looked at Killian and said, "Charlotte, her name was Charlotte."
