Loving My King

Chapter One

As I look out of my bedroom window on my balcony, I'm looking over the expanse of land we call Wakanda. Taking in it's beauty, appreciating nature and my people, it's like I'm falling in love all over again. Speaking of love, I hear my husband stir behind me but I pay him no mind. It takes him a few minutes for him to actually wake up anyhow. I see a woman and her child walking the streets without a care in the world. The little girl looks up at me, smiles and waves. I smile and wave at her back. Her mother turns to see who she's waving to and sees me standing on my balcony. She smiles, bows and waves as well. As I return her wave I feel nice strong arms grasp me from behind, and a pair of warm soft lips caress my neck in greeting. I smile and tilt my head to the side to give my husband easier access. "You are so good with our people my love. You will make a great queen." I smiles and turn around in my husbands arms. "And you will make a wondrous king my dear husband" I kiss T'Challa and rest my head against his chest. I see the woman and child are gone and smile slightly. They looked so content and happy. That's all I want for my people. For them to feel safe, and to be happy. My husband sways side to side for a bit before pulling away slightly to look at me. I look up at him to see him smiling. "What is it that's running through that beautiful mind of yours my sweet?" I smile at him and say "I'm just happy. Happy that my people are happy." He smiles and looks at me with love in his eyes. I kiss the spot where his neck and his shoulder meets and step away to get dressed. "The time for gawking at me has passed my king. It is time for us to start our day." He playfully rolls his eyes and gives my butt a little pat as he walks passed me. Used to his shenanigans but still enjoying it all the while, I smile and playfully roll my eyes back at him. He says "I am your husband. Gawking at you is a perk of our marriage and my duty. It is not to be taken lightly." I laugh and finish getting dressed. I give his butt a little pat and hear a sound of indignity as I pass him to go to the bathroom. I wash my face and brush my teeth and head out for the morning. He stops me once I reach for the doorknob. "Do I not get a 'have a nice day' kiss?" I raise an eyebrow at him. "I've given you a kiss this morning." He shakes his head. "That was a good morning kiss." I smile and chuckle at him and walk to give him his "have a nice day" kiss. Once I reach him he grabs me by my hips and gives me a firm passionate kiss. Surprised, it takes me a second to kiss him back. I wrap my arms around him and nip his lip once we start to part. I bring one hand down to his shoulder and I leave my other hand on the side of his neck. "Have a great day my king." I gently bite his lip once more before turning back to the door and walking out. I chuckle as I hear him say "That woman.."
