After eating.
"Thank you, that was really good actually" she said and sighed. "I'll go change my clothes." She stood up. "Jen?" I looked at her waiting for her to talk. "Can you stay with me...tonight? Please" She had this cute kind of sad face on and it got me. Since Gino wasn't here it was easy for me to just stay there.
I nodded and gave her a side smile. A smile formed on her lips and she walked upstairs. I took the plates to the kitchen placing them on the sink. I cleaned them and after that I took a look at my phone and I saw two missed FaceTime calls from Gino from just a few minutes ago.
I called him back and walked over the backyard door opening it and walking outside.
I smiled once I saw his face showing up on my screen. He was smiling too and then we saw each other and my smile got bigger.
"Hey" I slowly said. "Hello beautiful, how are you?" "I'm ok" my smile faded once I remembered why I wasn't that great. "What's wrong?" He asked. "Well, I prepared the food, and Angelo came over, but things didn't actually go as planned." He looked at me and made a face. "Oh damn...What happened?" He asked softly. "He freaked out, and it made Leah freak out, and she kicked him out of the house. He said he needed time and that he wasn't ready" "Oh no...Is Leah okay?" "I'll survive" I turned around seeing her walking over to me in her pajamas.
"Hi baby" Leah waved at Gino. "Hey, congrats on the baby" she looked at me with a side smile. "Yeah -thank you" she said sitting beside me. I looked up and then at her. "Oh...am I interrupting something? FaceTime sex or something like it?" She asked giggling. "Not really" I laughed. Gino laughed too and shook his head. "What time is it there?" I asked him. "It's almost 2pm" "Damn, you're in the future" I said. All this time zones stuff is so crazy.
"Kinda...I'm not feeling this project. I just...I don't know, my dad wants to check it out anyway but I'm not so into it" he said and yawned. "Someone's tired" I said. "Yeah, I haven't had enough sleep, and it's literally like fifteen hours of difference. It's all so fucked up for me, I'm about to just drop everything and go to my room and sleep till tomorrow" he said closing his eyes. "Aw baby...You can do this. Go through it, and come back here, I'm missing you way too much already" I pouted. "How's your dad feeling?" I added. "I miss you too!!! He's doing great, really, thank god. Listen I'll go now, I'll go on a meeting right now, even though I'd rather be there with you, cuddling" "I got you covered, buddy" Leah said making him laugh. "Well, thank you, Leah. Bye Jen, I love you, you two have a great night...I mean...three, yeah" I smiled. He's too freaking adorable. "Thank you, baby, I love you" I said and he hung up.
"Let's go get some rest, cuddle buddy" I mocked her and walked upstairs with her and she tossed a shirt and joggers at me. "Is that ok?" She asked. "Mhm, I'm fine with these" I changed and got in the bathroom. I cleaned my face and my teeth, after that I got in bed with her.
"Can I...-" I stuck my hand out and looked and her and then at her tummy. She glanced at me for a few seconds and then nodded.
I pulled her shirt up a little and rubbed my hand on her tummy. She had a little bump going on down there."My abs are gonna disappear" she mentioned. "There are some work outs you can do while pregnant, so when you give birth it's easy for you to go back to normal, you should try them out" "Oh really? I will try it" "Have you talked to anyone of your family about the pregnancy?" "Nope. I wanted to tell Angelo first, see how that went" She raised her eyebrows playfully. I bit my lip. "I'm so sorry about that, I feel guilty." "Don't! He sucks anyway. He will be back" She was sure about it.
Then she rolled over her nightstand and turned the lamp off. "And if he doesn't, which I doubt...Life goes on...with or without him" she said and came closer to me.
