Her dark hair were tied in a royal hair up do. Her pale skin seemed paler than ever. Lips as red as blood, it seemed as if she'd dipped her mouth into a goblet of the crimson liquid. She felt no guilt, no pain or sorrow for the poor man in front of her. She stared at him with steely eyes.
"Please.... forgive me.....my wife is dying! The forbidden fruit can only save my wife and unborn child..." The farmer pleaded.
She scoffed and tossed her head in melodious yet cruel laughter.
"What are you going to name your child, thief?" She asked cruelly.
"If it's a g-girl.... Then R-Rapunzel....or else....R-Ramon." the shivering farmer replied.
Snow could see the man shivering and chattering his teeth in her fear. She enjoyed it, the terror her name caused in the hearts of men and creatures alike. They deserved it. They took her only family away from her. She wanted to repay them with sweet vengeance. For her, mankind was never capable of love and compassion. It was all a sentiment, everything in the mind. An inexistent source of feeling.
"Queen Snow White, The Mighty! All hail Her Majesty!" Entered a guard, dressed in heavy metal armour.
Snow White turned her attention towards the guard. She hated it when she was interrupted. But she knew this particular guard would never do that, until it was something important. She smiled at the handsome blonde as he bowed down.
"General Lancelot, I hope you have good reason to interrupt my conversation with this thief here." Snow said, gesturing to the beaten up farmer in front of her.
The general nodded his head.
"As a matter of fact, yes, your Majesty. It's a matter of great importance. I have news from the kingdom of Sleeping Beauty." He replied.
Snow tensed. She caressed the folds of her purple velvet dress and took a deep breath. Aurora had been trying to steal children from her kingdom as long as she could remember. Snow's death curse hadn't worked on her, the manipulative Maleficent had neutralised her spell, making her sleep for a hundred years. Twenty years had passed since then.
"Speak, Lancelot. I do not have any time to waste." She pressed him on.
Lancelot nodded. "Princess Aurora has awakened milady. She has prepared her army to march towards Arabelle. She has allied with Princess Ella and is waiting to launch a surprise attack any time soon." He informed.
Snow knew this would be coming. The two goody two shoes always had been together in everything. They protested against her stealing children and training them to be top assassins. There was nothing wrong in it, according to her. Mankind was never capable of feelings. They were born to serve as slaves, to raze kingdoms, to end themselves. Only few, such as her, deserved authority. Snow remembered the second life she took. Ella's dear prince charming, who had tried to wage war against her. Oh, how wrong he was. Snow smiled to herself as she remembered the satisfaction she'd felt on taking his life.
She turned to the farmer and stared at him for a moment. Her eyes met with the guard holding him down.
"I do not hesitate in killing thieves bent on stealing from MY kingdom. Off with his head." Snow White announced.
The farmer's eyes grew wide with fear. He began to thrash his arms. He yelled for mercy and cried out for help. Snow took no notice of him. She cruelly watched him being taken away. Before the guard pulled him out of the throne room, the farmer yelled.
"I curse you, Snow White. You will be condemned to a horrible and torturous death." He growled.
That was the last of what she saw of the peasant farmer. She felt as if someone had taken away her strength and confidence. Snow knew one thing for sure.
Curses of commons held great power.
