The middle of the night Becky awakens. Her mom standing at the door looking straight at her. She gasps and wondered why her mom is standing at the door. She gets up and goes to her mom.
"Mom?" she cried. But her mom did not answer. She put her hand in front of the moms eye. And her mom grabbed her hand.
All you hear is a scream when Becky finally opens her eyes. Her mom runs into the room in a panic. When Becky sees her mom she screams again. But this time a loud scream.
"What the heck!" Her mom yells out. "Why are you screaming. You woke me up at.... let me see..... 5:34 in the morning. Why are you screaming! Please tell me." Her mom looked really frustrated when she finished yelling.
"It was just a dream I guess."Becky starts to cry when it comes out. Then her mom walks up to her and holds her as tight as she can. But Becky is still crying. Maybe its the fact that she never saw her dad since she was three. She missed her dad so much that she prays every night that she gets to see him again.
"Oh and its your birthday." her mom replies. "So get some sleep and we will go to the mall. There is a fountain in the middle of the mall, and people say that the mall fountain can grant all wishes." Becky looks surprised. Her mom says that there is a WISHING FOUNTAIN AND THAT IT CAN GRANT ALL WISHES??????
"Okay. I will get some sleep."
THREE HOURS LATER
Becky is getting ready for her birthday present at the mall. Her mom calls her from the kitchen.
"Oh, Becky, you can invite any friend you want to." Her mom called out. Cool. Any friend she wants.
"Addy." she finally adds. "I want Addy to come to the mall with us. She would be great company and I can get some help for picking out new clothes. I hope she can come today. Mom, can I call her right quick?"
"Uh, sure what's her number?" Asks her mom. " Wait! You can't invite Addy because her mom said that she was going to a funeral with her dad. So you can invite another friend. You can invite Jessie, Barbra, or Allie." Becky could not invite any of them because they are not her friends anymore. If her mom didn't notice. She couldn't be their friends because she is not popular enough. But that's OK right?
