"Ready?" Jake asked Alison the next day. She nodded, her mouth set in a firm line. There was always a man and a woman in the helicopter, so the plan was that Alison and Jake would replace them. They would say that the 18-year-old had died through sickness. Jenny was going to be hidden in a box and would sneak out later. After Alison and Jake find her, they would set out to find the 'heart of the city'.
"They're coming!" a guard yelled as Alison took her place in front of the Hospital. The helicopter flew over the edge of the cliff and landed. A cardboard box of supplies was thrown out and following it, a man ran out and grabbed Alison's arm.
She yelled as she spun around and kicked her victim in the stomach. He bended over to catch his breath and she hit him in the back of the neck, hard, karate-style. He dropped like a rock. She rushed forward, grabbed the baby from the woman that was standing there, astounded, and gave it to a kid behind her. The woman, utterly confused, started flapping her arms and yelling, "Hey! Stop that!"
Jake raised his homemade bow, took aim, and shot a wooden arrow at the woman, hitting her in the head and knocking her out. He quickly turned around and picked the cardboard box that was dropped and dumped all the supplies out of it.
"Come on, hurry! The helicopter is leaving!" Jenny screamed shrilly, already in it. As the machine rose a few feet off the ground, she helped Alison clamber on board. Yet when Jake got there, carrying the box, the helicopter was 20 feet above him. Thinking quickly, he threw to Alison the box right before the doors slammed shut. Alison caught it and pried the window open.
"Jake!" she screamed. "Stay! Protect the children! Tie up the adults! I promise we'll be back!" Jake nodded mutely. He felt a hard ball of worry in the pit of his stomach, but he trusted Alison with his life. If she said she'll be back, she will be. He'll only be interim leader for a short while. He turned away and stalked back to the Hospital.

Cerita PendekThis is a story that I had to write in my English class. It's about a dystopian society. I know it's not very good, because I was just trying to get a good grade, not make the best story ever. Also, I wrote this in about 2 days so it's a bit rushed...
