Chapter 9: Dodging Bullets

I quickly ran to the window. Opened it and carefully stepped out on to the ledge.

I jumped on to the top of the carport landing on my stomach. Pain shooting through my body.

"Help" I shouted as loud as I could.

I heard a gun shot. I looked up at my bedroom window to see Selena standing there aiming the gun at me.

I got up quickly jumping of the carport and on to the garden bed. I saw head lights approaching the house.

I pulled up to Mums house. I quickly got out the car and ran in side opening the door I could see blood on the walls I looked down to see Maddie's body laying there.

"Lilly!?" I yelled.

I heard steps upstairs.

"Lilly" I spoke again, running to where I heard the steps.

"Justin" I heard a voice which wasn't Lilly's.

I turned around to see Selena facing me with a gun in her hand.

"Hey baby" she said with a smile in her face.

"Don't call me that you fucking bitch, where is Lilly?" I demanded.

"I'm your girlfriend now Justin" she said stepping closer to me.

"Justin!" I heard Lilly shouting from out side.

I quickly ran to Lilly's voice. Multiple gun shot fired but non hit me. I looked around outside.

"Lilly, where are you?" I asked searching in the dark.

"The carport"

I ran and knelt down next to her.

"Are you okay?"

"I'm fine we need to get out of here" Lilly said trying to get up.

We ran to the car, then I heard Selena yell. I looked at the front door where Selena stood.

"Quick get in the car!" I said to Lilly. Watching her run in front of me.

"If I can have you, no one can" Selena said pointing the gun at me.

I quickly ran as she pulled the trigger.

"AHHH FUCK!" I screamed. Pain shooting through my leg.

"You psycho bitch, your going to rot in jail" I said limping to the drivers side of the car.

I started the engine and pulled out of the drive way as fast as I could. I heard sirens in the distance.

"Lilly?" I asked, keeping my eyes on the road.

No reply....

"Lilly, baby." I said glancing over to her. There was blood all over the car seat.

"Fuck!" I said slamming my foot on the gas, heading to the hospital.

"The baby, the baby."
