From the beginning

The start of a Journey

This part will be told in Thomas's POV.

"Hey James I'm back!" He didn't answer, there was note on the table with my name on it, I picked it up and read it aloud. "Dear Thomas, I had to go back to the league to be ready for a battle, now I know you haven't gone on a journey yet but I hope to challenge you, so get out there and start your journey. From your brother, James. P.S take that girl from next door with ya, I talked to her older brother and he said yes so take her with ya." "So he's telling us to go out on our journey." Lucario said not sounding surprised, I couldn't blame him, I wasn't surprised ether, we've been talking about it for a while and well I guess it was time for us to go, but how am I going to ask Ruby?

We walked out of the house, it was 9:00 at night and when I looked over at Ruby's house she was trying to wake up her brother. "Oh boy she did what I did to James." Myself and Lucario walked over to the door, and knocked, Ruby came to the door and asked us to come in. "You did what I did, I see." Ruby looked at us funny. "What do you mean?" "Well me and Lucario when he started to talk I went to show James and he too passed out." I smirked. "He'll be back in a few minutes. Now I have to ask you something." "Yeah?" We sat down. "Well my brother is out and he wants me to go on a journey, so I can battle him at the Hoenn league, so he asked me to ask you if you wanted to come along?" She looked like she was frozen in place, I shook her a bit and she snapped out of it. "So your asking me if I wanted to go on a journey with you?" "I guess so, if you don't want to then I'm fine with that it's just that-" She hushed me while Yummy was waking up. "Oohh what happened?" He sounded like he was knocked out by a guy with a baseball bat.

"You passed out when you heard Braixen talk." "Oh well then." He looked at Braixen. "Sorry about that, your the first Pokèmon that ever talked in front of me, so please forgive me." "I forgive you." They shook hand/paw and Yummy got up. "So let me guess your James's younger brother, you came to take Ruby on an journey, correct?" I nodded. "I'm not leaving until morning so I'll need an answer then." I started to get up and Ruby grabbed my arm. "I'll go!" "Perfect I'll talk to you in the morning." She let go of my arm and just as I was about to open the door Yummy stopped me. "Now listen, I don't want to get a call from her halfway through the journey and telling me that you did some weird stuff, got that?" I nodded as fast as I could. "Good now go get some sleep." He opened the door and I walked out.

Ruby was in the window of her house and she was waving to me, I felt myself start to burn up which made me wave back, I ran to a tree and started to climb it until I reached a branch big enough for me to sleep in and I lay down on the branch and started to doze off.

"Wha? Whoa... where am I?" I was floating in a black area. "Your inside your mind." "W-What! Why!?" I was looking around nervously. "To dream." The voice sounded familiar. "Who are you?" "I am Darkrai, the dream Pokèmon, now... dream!" I fell into the abyss to awaken to Ruby and I sitting under a tree on a hill, while Braixen, Lucario, a little Riolu and two Fennikens were down the the hill playing, I heard Ruby start to talk. "Hey you okay?" "Yeah I'm fine." The words came out of my mouth and I wasn't in control. "Good because most times when you fall asleep and don't notice, you wake up and your in a cold sweat." She's right and I don't know how she knows that. "Yeah I know, but I'm fine." She smiled and everything went black.

I woke up, sprung up and hit my head off a branch. "Ow... that one hurt." I started to rub my head, I looked out towards the mountains and it looked like the mountain was holding the sun at the peak. "Hey Thomas!" I heard before I looked down to see Lucario leaning against the tree and he was smirking. "Come on its almost 9:00!" "Holy cow already!?" I jumped out of the tree and landed on my feet. "Lets go get Ruby." "Yeah." We ran down the hill to Ruby's house. "Wait a minute! That's the same tree from my dream, I wonder why?" I thought to myself.

We were down the road from Ruby's house but before we reached it she was already walking out. I heard her say goodbye to Yummy and close the door, she saw we were running toward her, we started to slow down. "Hey Thomas, how was your night?" "Long and well good." "That's good." She smiled at me, I smirked back. "Shall we get going?" She asked. "Yeah... lets go." We made sure we had everything then I noticed I forgot something. "Be right back!" I ran to my house and went to my room and opened my closet door to find a box. I pulled it out and set it on my desk, opened it and I pulled out three things, a glove with a keystone attached, a bracelet with a keystone attached as well and a mega stone that was attached to a clip and string.

"Better put these in my bag." I put them all at the bottom of the bag and ran back out to where I left Ruby and Lucario, I saw them talking to each other and overheard the word crush, I hid behind a tree nearby. "Well it's kinda hard to tell you my crush if I don't know yours." Lucario was signaling me to stay put, how'd he know I was here? "Well it may be someone in that band." She started to blush at the thought. "And?" "Its... Thomas." She was trying to to hide her blushing, my jaw dropped at the sound of my name and I felt myself burn up.

"Really...  oh boy... well mine is well... Braixen." Her eyes widened and my eyes did the same. "Well why don't you tell her?" "Well we just met so I don't want to make it weird, besides I won't until you tell Thomas!" She blushed even more and she looked in shock towards my house. "Okay but not yet, I have to get to know him a bit more." "Alright but we better stop talking about this he'll be on his way." Then he signaled me to head back, so I did. "Wow she has a crush on me... a beautiful young lady like her has a crush on me... a young, rugged Aura Guardian... what am I saying?! Do I have a crush on her? That's a first."

"Hey guys it's Thomas and this is me telling you all when I found out I was a Aura Guardian, I found out when I was 15, my father never told me that he was a Aura Guardian until I was ready... we left for a year to train me and Riolu who is now a Lucario, but when I got my scar from a ex-Aura Guardian we had to quit our training due to the loss of eyesight for a long time but when I turned 17... my father was found dead in our home... almost ripped to shreds... I couldn't train any more but during our journey I will be training even more so if you don't hear me in curtain parts, then that is what I was doing. Hope you enjoyed and see you in the next part!"
