Off to Petalburg city

This part will be told in both Thomas and Ruby's POV

Ruby POV

Lucario and I were just talking about our crushes and it just so happens that he has a crush on my Braixen, but when it was getting to the juicy part Lucario said that we should stop talking about it and wait for Thomas, when I looked over at his house I saw him walking our way but he looked like he had something on his mind. "Hey Thomas!" I waved at him but he didn't wave back. Did I do something wrong? I hope not. He probably didn't notice I was waving because he looked up at me and waved, he put on that smirk that made me feel like I had Beautiflys in my stomach, so I smiled back.

"Sorry about that I had something on my mind." He started to scratch his head. "That's fine you just made it feel like I did something but I'm fine now." "Sorry." He looked down and I walked over to him, I got down and looked into his eyes. "Don't worry about it, I'm fine just don't feel like this, it makes me feel the same." He smirked again and I smiled back. "Well should we get going?" "Yeah lets go." I grabbed his hand and pulled him out of Littleroot town. "Uhhhh-" "Don't say a thing, I just want to pull you out of town." I pulled him out until we made it to route 101 and let go of his hand. "You got a good gr-" "HEELLLPPPP!!!" Someone yelled from further in.

"I know who that is!" Thomas ran ahead and stopped and sighed, he signalled me to come in closer. I walked in and saw a professor being chased by 3 Pouchyena. "You two help me, there are pokeballs in my bag with Pokèmon in them, please help MEEE!!" "You go ahead and take one." Thomas pointed towards the bag on the ground, I ran over and opened it, 3 pokeballs were there. "Which is which!!" "Toss them all out!" I grabbed all three and sent them all out, out came a Mudkip, a Treeko and a Torchic. "Which one!" "Any just hurry!!" I quickly scanned them but before I could choose, Thomas spoke up. "Take the Mudkip, it wants to go with you." I nodded and Mudkip did the same. "Let's do it Mudkip!!" "Mud Mudkip!" I got up and Mudkip jumped in front of me. "Your not doing this alone. Let's go Lucario. Don't beat the one on the left!" "Gotcha!"

I looked at Thomas in confusion. "Why not beat the one on the left?" "It has a special move called Ice Fang so I want to catch it or do you wanna?" I looked at him and nodded but I remembered I didn't have any pokeballs. "Here take these!" He tossed 5 pokeballs to me and we started the battle. "Lucario use Feint on the one to the right!" Lucario basically disappeared into thin air and reappeared in front of the Pouchyena and hit it hard enough to send it into a tree causing it to faint. "Mudkip use Water Gun on the Pouchyena in the centre!" Mudkip sent a strong line of water at the Pouchyena, it hit but didn't do much, then the same one ran toward Mudkip and tackled it to the ground. "Pay back time, use Shadow Claw!" A ghostly aura formed around his paw and formed a claw probably sharp enough to cut through a boulder and charged towards it and slashed, knocking it into a tree and faint. "Come on Mudkip you can do it, get up." Mudkip struggled to get up but pulled through.

"Yes good job, now try using Water Gun one last time just enough so I can catch it!" It nodded and used the attack, this time knocked it down, I threw a pokeball at it and a red beam shot out and formed around the Pouchyena, it went inside the ball and it started to shack, once, twice, three times and a loud ping, I walked over and picked up the pokeball. "I caught my first Hoenn Pokèmon!" "Mudkip!" I looked over to see Thomas clapping and walked towards me with Lucario close behind. "Well done Ruby, you gonna nickname it?" I looked at the pokèball and called it out. A white beam came out and formed the shape of Pouchyena and when it cleared Pouchyena was standing there. "Pouchyena!" It called out, it looked at Thomas then at me, it ran towards me and jumped into my arms and started licking my face. "Hehehe stop licking me!" He stopped after and looked at me with puppy eyes.

"Aww I can't stay mad at you...now what should I name you?" I pondered for a minute. "How about Shred...short for Shredder!" He instantly sprung up and ran around me. "He says yes." Lucario said with a small smirk. "Oh I have a Pokèmon to show you." Thomas said pulling a pokèball from his belt. He tossed it up into the air and out came a wolf like figure. "Mightyena!" It called out and looked at me with a glare and then looked at 'Shred' lowering its head so Shred can get to his face. Shred walked over and put his front 2 paws on Mightyena's nose and was slowly lifted off the ground and placed on Mightyena's back and there he sat. "Would you look at that they're like brothers!" I claimed and Thomas chuckled. "That's because they are brothers." "How do you know that?" Thomas and Lucario looked at me funny. "Auras and..." "Because he told me." They finished each other's sentence.
